Lessons being scriptural excerpts (Advent, prophesy) and the Carols are the rejoicing and worship from people who participate. The history behind the concert goes all the way back to the late 1800s in England.

Via NCC Website: Greg Wheatley says that some of his earliest memories of music were of learning to play the piano under the instruction of his grandmother. From that point on, he can’t remember a time when there wasn’t music of some kind in his life. Whether it was playing piano, marching in the high school band, or attending a symphony orchestra concert, the love of music has been an integral part of Greg’s life. After graduating from high school, he attended Spring Arbor College, where he earned a degree in music. He eventually went on to earn a Master’s degree in music theory from Michigan State University. Along the way, Greg’s involvement in Christian broadcasting brought him to Moody Radio, where he spent 22 years. His interest in broadcasting combined with his love of sacred music resulted in the program Sound of Majesty, which aired on Moody Radio for most of those 22 years.

Via Jason: Adoptive parents to two beautiful children, Jason Bentsen grew up in the Chicago area. He graduated from Aurora Christian High Schoo and met his wife, Cheryl, at Judson University in Elgin, IL. There, Jason received his degree in youth ministry and adolescent studies. He and his wife have always had a love for children. Together they served in ministry with Youth For Christ, have helped plant churches, and led children’s and youth ministries. After adopting his 2 kids, Jason felt called to start an organization to bridge the gap between the church and families who foster and adopt vulnerable children. In 2016 he launched Love Moves Us, a non-profit organization that provides community, encouragement and support to families who foster and adopt, and engages churches and the community in meeting the needs of the families they serve.
