  • What Colleges Really Want: Why Homeschooling is the Most Effective Educational Methodology for College Preparedness

What does it take to prepare a student for the rigors of college? Parents often ask if home education will equip their student to get into the college of their dreams. The question parents might also want to be asking is, “Do you want the fruit of that college or university in your child’s life?” Join 20-year veteran of higher education Dr. Lisa Dunne for today’s podcast as we explore what colleges really want in an ideal college student candidate, and find out why the homeschool model perfectly prepares students for success in college and beyond.

  • Relating through the Lifespan 2: Home Education as a Format for Reclaiming the Titus-Timothy Model

Have you ever heard of Piaget’s American Question? Swiss developmental psychologist Jean Piaget (1896- 1980) is credited with being the first researcher to theorize that young children process information in a completely different manner from adults. Through his observations and analyses of test-taking in young children, Piaget began to theorize that they were processing information in a unique manner, and this curiosity led to his research proposal of stages of cognitive development in young children. One of his big concerns at the global level was what he deemed the “American Question: Why did Americans find themselves compelled to rush the developmental process in young children? Mamma, slow down. Relax. Learning is natural, organic. You were born for this. Join Dr. Lisa Dunne for part 2 of relating through the lifespan and learn how every stage of life has a specific design for community, connection, and purpose. The home education movement is a powerful methodology for reclaiming the Titus-Timothy model at both the familial and organizational level.

  • Relating through the Lifespan 1: Home Education as a Format for Reclaiming the Titus-Timothy Model

Did you know that the developmental stages of socio-emotional development fit together like puzzle pieces spanning the generations? Titus and Timothy compel us to embrace the intergenerational model, the well of wisdom intended to flow down from one generation to the next. But modern culture segregates ages, ripping apart that fabric of connectivity at the seams. Join Dr. Lisa Dunne for part 1 of relating through the lifespan and learn how every stage of life has a specific design for community, connection, and purpose. The home education movement is a powerful methodology for reclaiming the Titus-Timothy model at both the familial and organizational level.

  • Combatting the three Great Tragedies of Higher Education: Content, Methodology, and Cost

The cumulative destruction of modern education is most visible at the college level, because it’s the built-up effect of a lifetime of indoctrination. After 20 years as an educator at the university level, Dr. Dunne saw that our system was broken beyond repair, and the next generation desperately needed a rescue mission. Students were living in their cars while amassing a 130K debt they would never be able to repay. Smart students sat in the back of classrooms, bored, unmotivated, wasting their time, talent, and treasure on a model that was not inspiring them. And struggling students were left behind because the-teach-to-the-middle mantra was intended keep a class of very different learners on the same proverbial page. Join Dr. Dunne for today’s show and find out how you can help combat the three great tragedies of higher education: content, methodology, and the cost.

  • Homeschooling with Eight: An Interview with Pastors Jonathan and Joanne Brozozog

What happens when parents are not prophesying the word of God over their kids? The demonic prophecies of the world’s system take root in their hearts. Two of today’s primary entry points are scholastic systems and cell phones. Join Dr. Lisa Dunne for an interview with Pastors Jonathan and Joanne Brozozog of Creative Church in Maple Grove, Minnesota. As homeschool parents of eight children, the Brozozogs have stepped up to the rescue mission by opening a homeschool support academy in their church, creating a scholastic environment where faith is celebrated not just tolerated. They’ve also developed America’s first online system for training preteens in responsible cell phone usage! As a culture, Pastor Jonathan says, parents have modeled privacy but not transparency, and this needs to shift. Just as a driving permit requires 33 hours of training before a student is placed behind the wheel, the Brozozogs believe that progressive responsibility in cell phone usage can help teens avoid some of the phone-based crises students are dealing with today, including bullying, trafficking, sexploitation, pornography, and addiction. Learn more about their powerful program at cellphonepermit.com. Parents, it’s time for a public school exit! Pastors, you can be part of the rescue mission!
