Matthew 8:18-34 - Following Jesus Christ is not a hobby. Whenever a person enters into a real relationship with Jesus, everything begins to change. He calls us to total surrender and He meets us with radical grace.

2 Timothy 2:1-7 - Making disciples does not end with leading one to Christ. It progresses into a process that is life-altering for both the disciple and the discipler.

Philippians 3:4-11; Matthew 13:44; - God prepares us for suffering through teaching us that our suffering is intended to make us go deeper in our relationship with Him.

Acts 18:1-5; 1 Corinthians 15:1-10 - The Christian testimony is a testimony of resurrection. Jesus' resurrection is the cornerstone of our faith. God takes dead things and brings them back to life.

Psalm 22:22-24, 27-28, 30-31; Acts 18:1-5; Luke 24:45; Romans 3:23; 6:23; John 3:3; 14:6; Romans 10:9-11; 2 Corinthians 5:15; Revelation 3:20 - When our lives are over, what stories will they tell about us? What story will we tell? We ought to live a life telling stories about the goodness of God and the Gospel.

2 Corinthians 4:5-7; Acts 7:2; 17:16-18; 32, 34; 22:1, 3-4; 6-10; 12-15; 22-24; Hebrews 11:13 - Paul spent the rest of his life telling people what had happened to him. He was an eyewitness with a story to tell. The New Testament says that the early believers were eyewitnesses of Jesus' majesty. If we will be obedient to share, God will use it.

1 Thessalonians 2:7-8; Acts 9:17-19; 24:24-25; Romans 9:2; 10:1 - Every God story involves sent people. Ananias was sent by God to strengthen Paul and affirm his commitment to Christ. We, as believers, are working together and sharing not only the gospel but also our lives with others. Root for people and see what God will do.

Acts 9:17-22 - Saul had an encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus. From that moment on he was a different man. Paul, formerly known as Saul, became a testimony of God's grace and a great missionary of the New Testament. God "re-wrote" his story and wants to do the same for us.

Acts 9:1-19 - Like many today, Saul knew of the gospel. Not long before he had heard it from the mouth of Stephen. Obviously, this knowledge did not mean that he was a follower of Christ. But, when he was on the ground, he recognized the voice as Lord. Jesus identifies himself, and Saul follows His instructions.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - This is our annual Vision Sunday where we reflect upon and celebrate the great things God has done in and through Compass Church during the past year and look ahead to what He has in store for us as we continue to step out in faith following in His footsteps.
