In this episode of the Awareness to Action Enneagram podcast, Mario Sikora, María José Munita and Seth "Creek" Creekmore answer questions they’ve received about the history of the Enneagram. They discuss what they’ve gathered about the history of the Enneagram and why it’s important to know it, but they also remind listeners to think critically about the Enneagram, including what is discussed in this episode.
“There are lots of different approaches to the Enneagram that are valid as long as they meet those criteria and as long as they stay within some fundamental rules.” -Mario [14:53]
“On Fathoms, we just had a conversation, and part of it was about if all these details and structures and explanations of your inner psyche isn’t leading to some level of growth and more compassion for yourself and others, then it’s not useful or you’re not using it well or whatever. And I think that’s the biggest thing.” -Creek [26:34]
“It is really tempting to fall for these great stories, even more so with a teacher who is charismatic teacher. And we need to be alert and try to think critically when we’re listening to these stories.” -María José [32:34]
