The book of Ephesians is home to some of the Bible’s greatest promises and deepest spiritual insights. The first chapter alone has foundational elements of the Christian faith and doctrine that are vital for every believer. This Sunday, we will continue breaking down the rest of chapter one, which will include a powerful prayer by Paul for the church. Understanding this prayer will help us grow spiritually and be victorious in our everyday living.

We are very excited to begin a new sermon series this Sunday, June 25. Over the next 10 weeks, we will dive into the entire letter of Paul to the Ephesians. This is the first time that we have shared an expository and comprehensive study of a single book of the Bible like this. And it is going to be great!We will explore each chapter and the vital themes that Paul was trying to convey to the church at Ephesus and that God wants us to understand and apply today. Every believer should have a desire to grow in their faith so they can advance the kingdom of God. But is this really possible for every believer in Christ? Is it the responsibility of every Christian to further the kingdom? If so, what are the pre-requisites for growing in our faith and advancing the kingdom? And what are the hindrances that keep us from having a faith that advances the kingdom?

Our faith brings blessings to our lives, but our faith is not just for our own good. The purpose of our lives is to reveal God’s glory so others will see and know His goodness.Join us this Sunday as we continue our series, You Gotta Have Faith, with a sermon on Advancing Faith.

Sometimes we are under the impression that faith is an element of our life that is hard to define or too difficult to understand. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we live by faith, not by sight.” If we are to live by faith, then we must have a good idea of how a life of faith ought to be lived.

The Body of Christ needs a refreshing. We become refreshed when we know how free we are in Christ. When we are truly refreshed in Christ, our steps will be ordered by Him. This means that I never have to worry about what I am going through. Because if I am in Christ, He will always cause me to triumph.

The Body of Christ needs a refreshing. It seems that too many times we grow weary in our faith. You can’t be weary and refreshed at the same time. You can’t walk by faith if you are not refreshed with the real truth written in the Word of God. Religion will always make you feel ill-equipped and impossible to meet some unnecessary criteria. However, when you walk in a Refreshing Faith, you won’t get weary; you will walk in faith and victory like you’ve never experienced before!

You have begun this journey, one of faith in Christ—a relationship that will not only last a lifetime but through all eternity. Is that the end of the story? Do you just settle in, contentedly relaxing in the knowledge that your eternal destiny is secure? Or is there more? Well, of course, there is more—a lot more!Every relationship you have ever begun has potential, but it needs a personal investment to experience its genuine richness and depth. This is equally true of your relationship with your Heavenly Father. If we truly want our faith to go to another level, we must build it through relationship.

In our continuing exploration of faith, we will compare and contrast the stories of Blind Bartimaeus and the woman with the issue of blood. We’ll discover how the miracle of her healing reveals another level of faith that we can live and walk in. We’ll see how The Touch of Faith takes us from a faith activated to a new and higher level.

How important is faith? It takes faith to even believe in Christ. It takes faith to believe that what God says is always right and true. And it takes faith to trust and walk in that each and every day. However, if your faith doesn’t continue to grow in your walk with Christ, you won’t have the faith to see God’s Kingdom come not only in your life, but in the lives of those around you. This is why it’s vital to have your Faith Activated and never deactivated.
