In exploring the life and trials of Joshua in the Bible, we are finding that God can and will use the circumstances of our life (the good, the bad, and the ugly) to forge in and through us a life of greatness. God has positioned us for greatness through Jesus Christ. The story of Joseph in the book of Genesis is full of principles that can help every believer reap the benefits of the position that God has promised to us. Last Sunday, we learned of two shortcomings in the life of Joseph. This week will begin exploring what Joseph did right on his journey to greatness. Are you ready to be great?

When we repent and become part of God’s family, we are immediately Positioned For Greatness. That’s right, greatness! Why? Because God wants the best for His children. However, even though God has positioned us, there are some things we have to be careful of so that we can reap the benefits of the position. This Sunday, we will begin looking at the life of Joseph to see what we can learn from his journey to greatness.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the word submission? Is it positive or negative? In our culture, submission is a word that often incites controversy. For many, the first things that come to mind are words such as “inferior,” “doormat,” or “controlled.” Even though the word submit tends to be a disliked word, we need to embrace it. However, we shouldn’t embrace submission through the lens of the culture we live in. Instead we should look at submission through the lens of the Word of God and follow its directions.
