Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5:7 that “we walk by faith, not by sight.” Sounds simple enough, doesn’t it? Except if you haven’t developed your faith, this verse is near impossible. Walking by faith requires a strong determination to follow God’s Word regardless what life throws your way. It also demands that we fight Satan, the enemy of our soul, and put all of his lies under our feet. That’s tough to do with an undeveloped, weak faith. The good news is that God doesn’t make it too hard for us to build our faith. He is always right by our side to help us along our faith journey.

This Sunday, we will continue building our foundation of faith that we began several weeks ago. Faith is not just for when we pray or attend a church service. Faith is for our day to day life. God’s desire for us is to not only understand and have faith but to activate it. An active faith in God changes both us and the world in which we live for His glory and His kingdom.

Last week we learned that we need to keep moving forward and faith is the vehicle that keeps us advancing in the right direction. Fear keeps us from moving forward. Fear is not a component of progression. How do we eliminate one of the biggest things that hinders our progressive movement of faith?

We have a deceitful and cunning enemy that wars against us to keep us down. His desire is to prevent us from being able or even wanting to advance the kingdom of God. However, the Scripture tells us that if we resist the devil he will run from us! (James 4:7) When we resist the devil and stand on God’s Word, we can thrive in life with Forward Moving Faith.

No one is immune to doubt. It can and does happen to us all. You’ve just got to know how to handle it when it comes. Even the great men and women of God recorded in the Bible had to deal with doubt. But how we deal with doubt is up to us. We can either let doubt sink into our hearts or we can leave doubt behind. Join us as we learn how to leave the darkness of doubt for the light of God's love and faith in Him.

As believers, our faith will increase when we understand and know the will of God. However, confusion exists with many in the body of Christ concerning how to know the will God for our lives. An unbiblical view of the will of God can cause those whose hearts are sensitive to spiritual things unnecessary heartburn, especially when making important decisions such as their vocation, marriage, education, and ministry. This Sunday, using the simplicity of the Bible, we will outline how to know The Will of God for You.

We celebrated Pastor Appreciation this Sunday. We surely look to our pastors as examples for us and rightfully so. God has called them to be godly examples. Likewise, God has also commanded us to be examples to others. This Sunday we take a look at the Holy Scriptures to see what kind of examples we are to be and why.

When you hear the words “the glory of God,” what do you think of? It might be difficult to describe the glory of God, but when you experience it, you definitely know it. This Sunday, as we continue with part three of The Presence of The Lord, we will attempt to answer questions like: What is the glory God? Why is it important? What’s the difference between the glory and the presence of God? And how can I experience the glory of God in my life?

The Bible seems to make it clear that one of the most important things to God is for us to seek Him. When we truly seek God, we experience His presence, which gives us joy, peace, rest, comfort, encouragement, strength—blessings of all kinds. This Sunday, we will discover four steps on how to experience The Presence of The Lord on a daily basis.
