Christians were never meant to “just get by.” You were created to rise above adversity and display greatness! This Sunday, we will continue talking about the empowering grace of God that enables us to overcome any and every tribulation we face.

Most people on the earth at one point or another want to grow up and mature. A major aspect of our maturity in Christ is our ability to take on responsibility. Just as we have to accept certain responsibilities to grow up and mature in the natural, we have to accept our spiritual responsibilities given to us by God to mature in the Lord. We will learn that it’s only by the empowering grace of God that we can truly grow in the Lord.

1 Peter 4:10 says for us to be “…good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” Manifold means “many sided” or “many different forms.” We need to understand that God’s grace is powerful inside of us, and it manifests itself in many different forms. It can help us in every area of our lives. Join us this Sunday for the next part of Amazing Grace, as we learn that we can have grace for every place.

We serve an awesome God who is very rich in mercy and grace. But many believers have questions about understanding God’s grace and how far it goes. Questions like: If I sin, how do I reconcile with the Father? Since I am saved, do I have to keep asking the Lord to forgive me if I mess up? What happens if I commit a sin but then forget about it and never remember to confess it to God? Since I am saved, am I always saved no matter what?This Sunday, we talk about the principles of reconciliation and repentance to help answer these questions and more.

Grace empowers you to rule in life, and it is also the only thing that makes you an effective witness for Him. When you truly understand grace, you will not be intimidated to witness. The power of grace strengthens your boldness. When you have grace operating in your life, it won’t matter what you’ve done in your past, you will be able to speak boldly and with authority.

When we sin, there is a sense of guilt and shame present that hinders our faith and undermines our boldness to stand in the authority of Christ. But when we confess (acknowledge) our sin, God through His grace assures us that we are forgiven and cleans our conscience by the blood of Christ. Then there is no more sense of unrighteousness in our hearts and minds.

Romans 5:17 says, “…they which receive abundance of grace…shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” This is great news! It means that life on this earth is not supposed to surpass us. We are to rule and reign over life. This Sunday, we will continue to dig into the Amazing Grace of Christ and how the goodness of God allows us to walk in a faith that overcomes.

Amazing grace results in an amazing life. God never intended your life to be average, mediocre, or mundane. He intends your life to be truly amazing, and He has provided the grace to make it a reality.

When we speak, words come out. These words affect not only us but all those who hear them. This is one of the reasons that David prayed in Psalm 19:14 for his words to be acceptable in the sight of God. Our desire should be that our words bless both God and everyone else that listens.
