When we come to observe this ordinance, it should be a time of remembrance of the difference Christ made. This Sunday, we will remember Jesus' sacrifice by taking communion, but we won't start there. The Titanic sunk because it couldn't avoid all of the icebergs. Just like the Titanic, the the church in America hasn't avoided all of the icebergs and is having trouble staying afloat. Christ is becoming less important in our Western culture every year. We need the power of God's grace to patch the hole in the ship and avoid future icebergs. This Sunday Pastor TJ will reveal three huge icebergs that must be avoided if the church is to stay afloat in part two of the sermon series, The Power of Grace.

No one ever thought that the Titanic would sink, but an iceberg sunk it. Many times we tend to equate size with stability. Many times we do the same with the church of America. You could look at it's size and think it's stable, but that is not necessarily the truth. The truth is the church of America is having trouble staying afloat. God wants us to grow stronger in Him. As a good Father, He has a plan for each of us, His children, to grow spiritually mature. One of the many things we must do to grow according to God's plan is to accept and experience His love firsthand for ourselves. As Christians, we should be rooted and grounded in this love so that we can share it with others. As we Share God's Love with others, we will grow stronger!
