He has reached peace but arrived via stops at pain, desolation and despair. As an alcoholic, mercifully sober for over 15 years there is an indescribable self worth in aiding those similarly afflicted. Kieron’s early adult life was realising personal dreams, now centred on ensuring others avoid nightmares.

He believes in social justice, finds prejudiced attitudes incomprehensible and is in despair at so much of what surrounds us - locally, nationally and globally.

We discuss footballers struggling with their sexuality, American and UK politics, our thoughts on gender fluidity and the time Kieron was thrown out of Downing Street.

This is Paratrooper Adrian Engwell’s first ever podcast.

Adrian Started training for the Parachute Regiment in 2003.

He toured Northern Ireland in 2005 which was 1 Paras final tour in Northern Ireland.

He then went to Iraq in 2006 with SFSG.

His final tour was Afghanistan 2009 with SFSG (Special Forces Support Group).

He did a total of 8 years in the 1st Battalion Parachute Regiment completing his service in 2011.

This one gets deep. I think I even identified exactly why some people are left scarred after getting up to the kinds of things this man had to go through.

Massive respect for to this man for telling his story. It’s going to help a lot of people out.
