Sunday was going to be a big day in Manchester as United and Liverpool geared up to go head to head at Old Trafford! However, what we got was wannabe Timo Werner who was unable to control the ball, random kid who fell off the goalpost, and relentless cries for the Glazers to be kicked out. 

Elsewhere, Riyad Mahrez's freekick went through the wall and gave City a victory over PSG in the UCL semis, Marcelo could miss the second leg against Chelsea because he's been selected for polling duty, and Eduard Mendy had to work hard to keep his gloves on!

Better late than never to the party! Just hours after we finished recording the previous episode, the ESL dramatically imploded. The guys talk about the fallout of all the big clubs pulling out, owners apologising and Ed Woodward resigning! 

Meanwhile, Timo Werner got on the scoresheet, and that's no joke. What IS a joke however is VAR for disallowing a perfectly fine Callum Wilson equaliser...but it's okay because Joe Willock gave Klopp the heebiejeebies moments later anyway.

Rounding off the episode is a breathtaking version of Mukesh's game as the race at the top of the table heats up between Aakarsh and Amogh!

WTF is going on? 

Over the weekend UEFA announced a change in the format of the Champions League, but the Big 6 clubs from England along with Real Madrid, Atletico, Barcelona, inter, AC Milan and Juventus announced a breakaway Eruopean Super League! 

What followed were fan protests, player protests, pundit protests and in general a whole lot of confusion. Would the breakaway clubs be kicked out of their domestic leagues? Would they be hit with a points deduction? Would they be punished at all? Nobody seemed to know.

The Corner Flag gang got together to discuss what the ESL would mean for football as a whole, and also to discuss Mourinho's sacking...which was surprisingly not that important in the overall scheme of things!

(UPDATE: Post our recording, all English clubs have backed out, Ed Woodward has announced his resignation from Manchester United, Atletico and Inter have also backed out and the ESL seems to have gone bust, with Florentino Perez needing truckloads of Saridon.
