This week we continue our study of the Lucifer Rebellion with the forth installment: "The Son of Man on Urantia." Join us as we dive into deep study of the repercussions of Jesus' life on this planet and how it terminated the Lucifer rebellion on this planet, and all other planets in this system, but it wasn't easy of course: 53:8.1 Lucifer and Satan freely roamed the Satania system until the completion of the bestowal mission of Michael on Urantia. They were last on your world together during the time of their combined assault upon the Son of Man The Human Jesus had many challenges laid before him by Lucifer, Satan, and Caligastia while he lived on this planet. Although Jesus might have been outnumbered, he was never outmatched. He showed great resolve and courage when confronted by these evil traitors: 53:8.4...There was survival for mortals and security for angels when your Master, in reply to the Lucifer proposals, calmly and with divine assurance replied, “Get you behind me, Satan.”  In this episode we will discuss further the actual benefits that we as humans experience, as a result of the incredibly successful life bestowal of Christ Michael, Jesus. 53:8.7 ...But since the day of Pentecost this traitorous Caligastia and his equally contemptible associate, Daligastia, are servile before the divine majesty of the Paradise Thought Adjusters and the protective Spirit of Truth, the spirit of Michael, which has been poured out upon all flesh.  “He who is born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one touches him not.” Join us as we talk all about the heroic acts of Jesus with regards to ending the Lucifer rebellion while here in the flesh. This week we go back to our study of The Lucifer Rebellion. This is the third week we will have spent on this subject and there are bound to be several more installments. Like so many of the subjects covered by the amazing Urantia Book, this subject is one that has been handed down as a planetary legend and it shows up in ancient teachings around the world, as well as in the Bible. However, The Urantia Book makes crystal clear what it was, who it impacted, why it happened, its ramifications for evolving beings like us, its nature and gravity, and its ultimate resolution. The Urantia Papers covering Lucifer's rebellion really do answer the age old question as to why our world has been so confused, barbaric and violent. Problems of the Lucifer Rebellion.  For instance, we'll be reading this: "Of the planetary angelic helpers, those assigned to the Material Sons, about one third were deceived, and almost ten per cent of the transition ministers were ensnared. In symbol John saw this when he wrote of the great red dragon, saying: "And his tail drew a third part of the stars of heaven and cast them down in darkness." And this: "But even so, no fallen spirit ever did have the power to invade the minds or to harass the souls of the children of God." This week we continue our study of The Lucifer Rebellion and how self-assertion came to dominate the conduct of our world. “Self-assertion was the battle cry of the Lucifer rebellion.” [53:4.2]  "He contended that 'majorities rule,' that 'mind is infallible.'” [53:4.4]  "Lucifer was permitted fully to establish and thoroughly to organize his rebel government before Gabriel made any effort to contest the right of secession or to counterwork the rebel propaganda." [53:4.7] The influences of rebellion still leave a mark on this planet. Everyday we are presented with the choice of self-assertion or selfless service. According to the Urantia Book we on this planet are to be called Agondonters - those who believe without seeing.  It takes a rare type of human to thrive on this rebellion-seared planet. "Christ Michael now has ample power and authority to deal promptly, even summarily, with such outbreaks of disloyalty, but we doubt that this sovereign authority would lead him to act differently if another such upheaval should occur.?" [53:5.3]  This raises the question in any reflective person:  Why does God not interfere with evil when it appears in the world? We'll explore the scope of the rebellion and discuss how loyalty stands out:  "The Lucifer rebellion was system wide. Thirty-seven seceding Planetary Princes swung their world administrations largely to the side of the archrebel. Only on Panoptia did the Planetary Prince fail to carry his people with him." This week we start our study of The Lucifer Rebellion and the interesting repercussions of this horrible tragedy. “How are you fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How are you cast down, you who dared to confuse the worlds!” The Lucifer Rebellion was the fulcrum for the Caligastia betrayal and the subsequent quarantine of Planet #606 of Satania aka Urantia aka Earth. Many things on this planet still carry the mark of the rebellion. (53:5.5) The Lucifer emblem was a banner of white with one red circle, in the center of which a black solid circle appeared. This was the emblem Lucifer chose to represent his ideology of self assertion and unbridled liberty. He declared that God the creator was a lie fabricated by the celestial administration in an attempt to limit the development of the individual by the very trap we all must learn to not fall prey to: Unbridled liberty.  53:4.1 The Lucifer manifesto was issued at the annual conclave of Satania on the sea of glass, in the presence of the assembled hosts of Jerusem, on the last day of the year, about two hundred thousand years ago, Urantia time. Satan proclaimed that worship could be accorded the universal forces — physical, intellectual, and spiritual — but that allegiance could be acknowledged only to the actual and present ruler, Lucifer, the “friend of men and angels” and the “God of liberty.” The influences of rebellion still leave a mark on this planet. Everyday we are presented with the choice of self assertion or selfless service. Urantia Papers 93-98 are devoted to Melchizedek with Papers 96 and 97 treating the Hebrew religion's evolution--the world religion most heavily influenced, at least initiated, by his teachings. We're deeply engaged in a fascinating study of Melchizedek, the Third Epochal Revelation of God to our world. We've learned that Melchizedek came to earth on an emergency mission to rekindle the light of truth on Urantia. He thoroughly trained his messengers and dispatched them to the four corners of earth from Salem, now Jerusalem. These extraordinary papers examine how his teachings spread and recount the profound effect Melchizedek had on our world. We will continue to follow this with a study of The Melchizedek teachings in ancient Iran and Arabia: 95:6.1 ...For more than five hundred years the Salem teachers made headway in Iran, and the whole nation was swinging to the Melchizedek religion when a change of rulers precipitated a bitter persecution which practically ended the monotheistic teachings of the Salem cult. The doctrine of the Abrahamic covenant was virtually extinct in Persia when, in that great century of moral renaissance, the sixth before Christ, Zoroaster appeared to revive the smouldering embers of the Salem gospel. 95:7.4 Despite the fact that the great Levantine monotheisms failed to take root in Arabia, this desert land was capable of producing a faith which, though less demanding in its social requirements, was nonetheless monotheistic. There have been several events referred to as a Parliament of the World's Religions, the first being the World's Parliament of Religions of 1893, which was an attempt to create a global dialogue of faiths. This first ever gathering of great faith traditions from around the globe was historic. The original Religious Parliament was celebrated 100 years later with a second Parliament in 1993. Both events were held at the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago, IL. The 1993 Parliament was attended over 8,000 people from all over the world and many diverse religions. They gathered to celebrate, discuss, and explore how religious traditions can work together on the critical issues which confront the world. A document, "Towards a Global Ethic: An Initial Declaration" set the tone for the subsequent ten days of discussion and it was endorsed by the delegates who attended the parliament assembly. Since 1993, The Parliament has convened 5 more times, including: 1999 - Cape Town, South Africa, 2004 - Barcelona, Spain, 2009 - Melbourne, Australia, 2015 - Salt Lake City, Utah, and just a few weeks ago, 2018 - Toronto, Ontario. That's a total of 7 times in known history that the diverse religions of the world have come together to get to know each other and  explore issues of mutual import to all people of faith. Most who attend these events agree that they are life changing.  A few weeks ago, over 100 Urantia Book readers gathered in Toronto to take our place among the world's faithful. We had a very real presence there. Four Urantia organizations (Urantia Foundation, Urantia Book Fellowship, Urantia Association International and Truthbook.com) collaborated to present The Urantia Book's teachings there. The Urantia Book has been present at 6 of the 7 Parliaments, but this recent endeavor was the best ever. Join us as we recap this amazing effort with dear friends who attended!

Join us on the Cosmic Citizen as we dive into the Melchizedek teachings through the Levant and how the Salem teachers carried these teachings to Egypt. The Urantia Book talks about 3 important prophets rising out of Egypt as a result of the message from Salem: "Salvation through faith" This Week we will discuss 2 of these prophets: Amenemope and Akhenaton 95:4.1 In due time there grew up in Egypt a teacher called by many the “son of man” and by others Amenemope. This seer exalted conscience to its highest pinnacle of arbitrament between right and wrong, taught punishment for sin, and proclaimed salvation through calling upon the solar deity. The UB tells us the high moral concepts of Amenemope eventually became verses in the old testament. Amenemope wasn't given credit for them bu this truths still hold influence to this day. Then we meet Akhenaten, who brought a new Religion, Capitol, and Culture all founded on the worship of One God. 95:5.4Never in all history did any king so methodically proceed to swing a whole nation from polytheism to monotheism as did this extraordinary Ikhnaton. With the most amazing determination this young ruler broke with the past, changed his name, abandoned his capital, built an entirely new city, and created a new art and literature for a whole people. This new capitol and culture in Egypt went right back to the worship of Isis and Osiris and steeped in rituals. Being a prophet isn't easy, we read that most prophets were rejected for the most part. As Moses will later discover, sometimes compromises are made when revealing the such great truths to the simple minded so that seeds will be planted for enhanced truth in the future. The Salem teachers made their deepest influences in Egypt and it was much to the advantage of the subsequent religious teachers of the time. From Egypt alone sprang the teachings of Amenemope, Ikhnaton, and Moses. Many of the former writings becoming credited to Hebrew authorship within the Old Testament.  [95:2.1 As India in these days harbored the highest mixture of the world races, so Egypt fostered the most thoroughly blended type of religious philosophy to be found on Urantia, and from the Nile valley it spread to many parts of the world. The Jews received much of their idea of the creation of the world from the Babylonians, but they derived the concept of divine Providence from the Egyptians.] In the ancient Nile Valley we can trace the evolution of morality and ethics, from blatant nature worship up to the exhaltaion of the One true God of all.  [95:2.10 The concept of judgment in the hereafter for the sins of one’s life in the flesh on earth was carried over into Hebrew theology from Egypt. The word judgment appears only once in the entire Book of Hebrew Psalms, and that particular psalm was written by an Egyptian.] It will be another great show filled with insightful questions and wonderful conversation. MELCHIZEDEK - Earth's Hero! Part 11: The Melchizedek Teachings in the Levant This week we continue our study of Melchizedek, King of Salem. Melchizedek is counted in the Bible, Hebrews 7:3, as one, "Without father or mother or genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God, he remains a priest for all time." Melchizedek lived and taught on earth for 94 years. Urantia Papers 93-98 are devoted to Melchizedek with Papers 96 and 97 treating the Hebrew religion's evolution--the world religion most heavily influenced, at least initiated, by his teachings. 2,000 BC was a wild time in ancient Mesopotamia. Multiple gods who required sacrifices. deeply warring tribes, and highly questionable religious practices. All these challenges and more, were laid before the Salem priests as they set off to enlighten the fertile crescent. 95:1.1 By 2000 B.C. the religions of Mesopotamia had just about lost the teachings of the Sethites and were largely under the influence of the primitive beliefs of two groups of invaders, the Bedouin Semites who had filtered in from the western desert and the barbarian horsemen who had come down from the north. Thanks to loyal work by the Salem missionaries, much of the sacred writings in the bible are either written by or directly influenced from the teachings of the Salem priests. 95:1.11 Much of the Mesopotamian religious culture found its way into Hebrew literature and liturgy by way of Egypt through the work of Amenemope and Ikhnaton.
