This week our show will be of particular interest to students of The Urantia Book. We will be interviewing the planners of the 12th Triennial International Conference for students of The Urantia Book. (Otherwise known as IC'11) The theme of this conference is: Revelation in Action - Act Globally, Grow Cosmically. The conference will be held in Salt Lake City in just under two weeks, on July 26th - 31st. Over the last 36 years, thousands of Urantia Book readers, from around the world, have attended these events. This week's show is a repeat of one of our favorites. Author Jennifer Skiff (link to bio), author of the book God Stories has collected a wide variety of testimonies from various faith-traditions; stories of how God's grace has touched people's lives. Jennifer is currently working with Oprah Winfrey, as well as a team of Hollywood writers and directors for a dramatic television series based on the book. Jennifer Skiff’s award-winning career as an international television journalist includes more than a decade as an investigative correspondent for CNN. Her specialty is the environment and among other industry honors, she has received the prestigious Environmental Media Award. Passionate about animal and their welfare, she works with charities throughout the world to bring relief to abused and abandoned animals. A cancer scare in her early thirties convinced her that a Divine presence was active in her life. Her journalistic instincts took over and she began a quest to find out if others had similar experiences. The result is her first book, God Stories, a collection of inspiring first-person accounts of miracle-like encounters with God.

Self publishing is easier than you may think. This week, we will feature the editor of a new online self-publishing resource, Tuscan Sky Publishing. Among other things, David, the managing editor of Tuscan Sky, will be joining us to discuss the reprinting of Urantia Book Basics, a synopsis of The Urantia Book by Mary Ebben Livingston. Mary spent the last 15 years updating Urantia Book Basics, first published by Mary in 1994. It has long been a favorite of Urantia Book readers around the world. Tuscan Sky has now helped Mary republish her book under the new title,‘Quivering on the Brink.’ Mary can't join us, but has asked her editor, David, to speak for the book. It turns out that David has a remarkable story of his own spiritual journey that we hope to discuss with him as well. He has 57 Years experiencing Planet Urantia, as he puts it, and a long history of what might be termed " unusual " or unique spiritual experiences. David is also the founder and project coordinator of the One Billion Dollar Project which serves the hungry in America. He was raised with traditional Lutheran doctrines but does not consider himself a Christian. He believes that priesthood based ideologies are contrary to the true message of Jesus which he feels is accurately portrayed within the text of  not only The Urantia Book and other ancient planetary teachings. He refers to himself as a follower of Jesus.
