The Couch Potatoes

*** I UPLOADED THIS LAST WEEK, BUT DID IT WRONG, SO, WHOOPS (Brett, Aug 26th, 2017) *** Hi there! This week, I'll salute "Orphan Black", which wrapped up its five-season run last weekend in glorious fashion. Tatiana Maslany, from Regina, has done unbelievable work in portraying countless characters on the groundbreaking Canadian show, and is well-deserving of her Emmy win last year. Hopefully she wins again this year. Also, Jeff examines the month of August 2017 at the movies, which so far has been exceptionally MEH.

Hi there. Brett here. This week we're going to talk about this ongoing trend, which is ramping up of late, of reviving old tv shows. Will & Grace, for example, is coming back to NBC, and has ALREADY been renewed for a second season. ALSO, Game of Thrones put on an incredible show this week, and despite the HBO hack attack that saw the episode leaked online, the series earned its highest ratings yet!

Hi there! This week I've got a review of Atomic Blonde, starring Charlize Theron. Jeff meanwhile wants to tell you about the strange happenings re: Kevin Can Wait, and I think he's excited about something with Clint Eastwood. I can't remember. - Brett

Hi there. Brett here. This week I saw "Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets". It was ho-hum. Jeff meanwhile will tell you how he has wasted his summer, in rather spectacular fashion. We'll also give a recap of San Diego Comic-Con, highlighting some of our favorite items to come out of the event.

Hi there. Brett here. This week I went to see Dunkirk, the new film from Christopher Nolan. Two teenage girls sat beside me. I will explain why teenage girls were excited to watch a WWII movie. Jeff went to see War for the Planet of the Apes. Transparent is available at last on TV in Canada, and Game of Thrones debuts to huge ratings, but mixed reviews.
