  • I Care A Lot review

This week the guys are taking on another sociopathic Rosamund Pike character in I Care A Lot. This black comedy thriller from the director of The 5th Wave divides the boys (to some extent) as Wayne decides he struggles with any film that is less than joyful, while Paul, predictably, derides him for it.

Meanwhile, there's cursing and Wayne says inappropriate things.

    (I know, you're all shocked.)

  • Boss Level review

Are you a bit jaded by not being able to go to the cinema in your part of the world? OR, if you can attend, the lack of bang for your buck you're getting with cinematic releases like Follow Me, The Little Things or Synchonic. Well, good news, everyone! Because the boys have the cure for what ails you with their early review of a new action sci-fier which is about to hit your screens: Boss Level!

With thanks to Anarchy PR and the screener they provided, the guys were able to see this one early and were both wowed by it! And they've got the skinny for you ahead of the film's cinematic release on Feb 25th in Australia and on Hulu in early March for you North Americans.

  • Top 10 Films That Don't Hold Up (From Childhood)

    Countdown #307

This week the boys have gone old school as they've miscommunicated over the brief, with Wayne Doing the Top 10 Films That Don't Hold Up while Paul added the words "From Childhood" to that.

As you can imagine, incredulity and insults entwine to make this an episode like the early days of the show ... except with half decent sound quality and the incredible welcome and amazing addition of The Soundboard :D

Who decides fantasy as a genre struggles to hold up? From what source does Christopher Nolan cop a bit of a bollocking? And how many childhoods will be ruined?

  • Synchronic review

Paul thought he was on a winner this week in convincing Wayne to watch, Synchronic, a brand new sci-fi horror which just hit theatres in very limited showings across the country, but it turns out this was way more of a sci-fi thriller ...

So will Wayne find enough out of having Falcon (minus the Winter Soldier) in the film? Or does he struggle to accept said Falcon would be be friends with someone like Mr Grey? Meanwhile, what has got Paul's goat? And is he reading too much into the film?
