- Top 10 Hidden Gems of the 90s
With most everyone stuck at home and the rest of the world sure to follow, Paul and Wayne this week decided to provide a guide to some of the lost classics of cinema which they believe most would not have seen and therefore might get a kick out of watching while on lockdown.
In other words, the guys are delivering their Top 10 Hidden Gems of the '90s this week, as they take you back more than 20 years and into a different era of film-making. An era when when mystery men were bound for a night of judgment, while putting the frighteners into a fallen dark city, all while wondering what you might be able to do in Denver when you're dead.
SFW. Go ahead and swim with sharks. No-one reads the show notes anyway ...
Or at least that's what Paul is hoping to prove this week, as The Countdown continues ...

26 min - The Top 10 Films We've Ever Reviewed!Five years ago, two fools with nothing better to do decided they might talk about movies (and sometimes television) in order of awesomeness, in case someone out there might be guided by their reviews. That was an abject failure, so they decided instead to take the complete piss out of each other and have a laugh. And now, you're listening to the fifth year anniversary of that first episode. In a world where we face an unprecedented challenge (at least in our life time), you can be sure The Countdown will be right there with you, our amazing listeners, since you are all responsible for getting the boys this far into their journey. And, of course, this episode, in which the guys countdown their ten favourite things they've ever reviewed, would not be complete without Wayne completely screwing up in what might be his most impressive way yet.Tune in to find out how, as The Countdown continues ...

1 hr 15 min - Bloodshot reviewThe last film the boys are likely to review at the cinema in some time is Bloodshot, which, as it turns out, would be an awful note to go out on, so let's all hope the Covid-19 pandemic burns itself out sooner rather than later ...Vin Diesel stars in this stinker of a film from the guy who brought you Truth or Dare and Blumhouse's Fantasy Island, and you should not bother. 55 min - The Invisible Man reviewPaul gives Blumhouse Productions another shot this week as their latest fairly low-budget thriller-horror hits cinemas around the world in the form of The Invisible Man. This one is a timely update to the classic story and stars the always impressive Elisabeth Moss and directed by Leigh Whannell (of Upgrade fame). But is it as good as the critics are saying? or are people just surprised because Blumhouse released something not incredibly terrible which at one stage was attached to Universal's Dark Universe.Find out as The Countdown continues ...Time Stamps:The Invisible Man SPOILER-FREE Review : 0:00 - 13:51The Invisible Man SPOILER-FILLED Discussion: 13:51 - 21:32Final Thoughts Including Potential Spoilers: 22:01 - 23:20

25 min - Top 10 Razzie Nominated Films! This week the boys attempt to defend the indefensible, as they countdown the ten BEST films ever nominated as Worst Picture for the RazziesThe Golden Raspberry Awards have been running since 1980, with five films nominated as the worst of the worst every year since that time. That means the guys have about 200 films to choose from, and they reckon the Razzie Poweres That be have gotten it wrong quite a few times over the years. But what Paul did not reckon on was a betrayal by Wayne that shakes the foundations of the show to its very core. Will The Countdown continue beyond Episode 257 or is it truly Armageddon for the show??Find out as The Countdown (maybe) continues ...And you can check out the list of Golden Rasberry Worst picture nominations at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Raspberry_Awards

1 hr 11 min - Locke & Key review
It's Netflix time on The Countdown this week, as the guys turn their attention away from the woes of February cinema, and hope for something better from the new adaptation of the excellent comic, Locke & Key. This one comes from the loins of Stephen King (ie. his son), so Paul has high hopes, but will they be dashed by the teen drama-ishness of it all? And what will Wayne and his scaredy cat approach to anything remotely dark think? But most importantly, is it worth almost nine hours of your time?
Find out as The Countdown continues ...
