  • Episode 176: Top 10 Films That Shouldn't Have Worked But Somehow Did
"How did this freakin' movie get made?"

That's what Paul and Wayne are waxing lyrical about this week - they're counting down the top ten films that just straight-up shouldn't have worked, but somehow did!

Some choices are films with a ridiculous premise that no-expected to get the green light. In other cases, it's a production so troubled, the whole film was gonna be left on the cutting room floor. In at least one case, it's just Paul being a combative anus. Also, Wayne wrote this show copy.

Top 10 Films That Shouldn't Have Worked But Somehow Did: 13:02 - 1:01:21

  • Episode 175: WORST 10 Erotic Thrillers
Sometimes, you’re in the mood for a racy, risqué, titillating film.
But sadly, that film often winds up being pure crap, which causes you to facepalm halfway through, leaving  a goopy layer of lanolin all over your face. Ew.
Join Paul and Wayne for a way-too-graphic countdown of the WORST erotic films of all time! (Cinematically released ones, of course.) Can the boys out-gross each other with their most laughably crap Hollywood soft-core movies? Which ones failed to deliver any wood? Which ones involved gallons of bodily fluid? And which ones are just straight-up stupid?
To find out, turn the lights down low, fire up the Marvin Gaye and hit this link for some huge laughs and non-existent boners as The Countdown continues!
(Oh and stick around for the blooper/out-take this week. It's a doozy.)

  • Episode 174: Top 10 Film Teams / Mission: Impossible - Fallout
Paul and Wayne were recently rocking out to Tenacious D and they were struck by a moment of inspiration while listening to the track Double Team  - a Countdown of their Top Ten Film Teams!

Join Paul and Wayne as they trade barbs over which teams on the big screen rocked the MOST. Paul's middle finger is extended at Wayne's choices. Wayne's left nut is sore after trying to jam it in Paul's nostril. And both hosts are still really surprised that people would ever consider having a "double team supreme" with Jack Black and KG ...

That's all on the back of their Mission: Impossible - Fallout review! Is this film as baller as all the reviews are suggesting? Is it worth seeing a second time at the cinema? And what would they do if The D kindly offered to turn them into a rotisserie chicken? The answer to ...some of these questions are all in this week's Countdown!

    Time Stamps:

  • Episode 172: Top 10 Animals Films / Ant-Man and the Wasp
Do you like animals? Do you have a loyal canine who greets you at the door every day? Or maybe you prefer the aloof charm and lap warming efforts of a furry feline? Either way, if animals of any kind make you melt and say "Awww" (except geese, they're as annoying as hell), then THIS is the Countdown for you, as the lads rank the very best films which focus on animals! Despite the heart-warming topic, this one gets a bit rough, folks, as at least one host loses their sh*t during this one, and both have some serious selection regret before the end of the show!
There's also a review of the latest MCU film, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and it's fair to say the guys have very different reactions to what Marvel has served up this time around.
Plus there's plenty more Virtual Wayne covering all your Soundboard needs as The Countdown continues ...

This week, it's the return of a fan favourite Ep, the Top 10 Last 10! Paul and Wayne mini-review ten films they've each recently seen (but yet to speak about on the show), ordering from worst to best, and letting you know when they cross the line from trash to recommended. Which film does Paul believe is by far the worst of the year so far? Which film does Wayne love more than some of what Paul considers to be the year's best? And how many new Soundboard drops will Paul hit Wayne with?
Find out the answers to all of these questions and more as The Countdown continues ...

  • Episode 170: Top 10 TV Shows That Should Get the Movie Treatment / Sicario: Day of the Soldado
Most have questioned it; many have doubted it would ever happen. But it is now official: Television is BACK on the Countdown!
This week Paul and Wayne honour the pledge of another Number One Patron and exceptional all round person, Sally Vaughan, in giving their Top 10 TV Shows Which Should Get the Movie Treatment. Be it a sequel or reboot, the guys list their favourite shows which they'd love to see on the big screen and explain how they'd make the transition. Things start our innocuoulsy enough, but it's only a matter of time before choices cause incredulity, inflammatory remarks and temporary insanity - and not just in Paul. Ohhhh!
The lads also find time to squeeze in a review of Sicario: Day of the Soldado, which opened to very little fanfare or buzz this last week. Does it hold up to the original? Or is it a pale imitator?
Hunker down for some snide banter, sputtering objections and utterly needless soundboard drops (Edit: Wayne wrote that bit) as the Countdown Continues!

  • Episode 169: The Countdown vs Comic Confidential - Top 10 Pop Culture Defining Films / Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
It's battle royale time, folks! This week Paul and Wayne go head to head with Kade and Troy from the kick-ass Comic Confidential podcast, counting down each team's top ten Pop Culture Defining films!  Once again, Paul and Wayne can't agree on what the damn list should really be, because Wayne took the brief literally and everyone else on the planet got it wrong (Paul and the rest of the planet have a different view on this.) But it's still a hell of a tournament between two podcasting juggernauts, with some big calls, bigger laughs, and even a discussion about a real life Fight Club that one of the hosts participated in - which, let's face it, is reason enough alone to listen. And that's not even taking into account Paul going full-Negatron on Jurassic World: Fallen Rectum in the main review.

Who will triumph with the superior list? The pop-culture "experts" (aka villains!) Comic Confidential? Or the hometown heroic underdogs, the Countdown? Only you can decide!

For all your pop culture, in-fighting and inappropriate joke needs, keep it right here on The Countdown!
