The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Dr. Tyler B. Davis. Classified as a White Man, Dr. Davis is a Suspected Racist and an Adjunct Professor of Theology at St Mary’s University. His research explores the history, theology and practice of sanctuary in South Texas. During our recent examination of John A. Haymond’s new book on the 1917 “racial mutiny” in Houston, we learned that the 1916 Texas lynching of Jesse Washington in Waco was noted as a contributing factor. This led Gus to Dr. Davis’ 2025 text, God of the Whirlwind: Horror, Memory & Story in Black Waco. This work is an oral history anthology of several people classified as black who lived in Waco. Dr. Davis, a Racist Suspect, questions them about their memories and experiences with the local System of White Supremacy and their understanding and views on the Washington lynching. Gus was struck by the overbearing influence of the Religion of White Supremacy on these victims. Many of them spent decades of their life in church and/or became reverends. Much of their understanding of the System of White Supremacy and what it means to be classified as White is contaminated by Racist religious doctrines designed to make slaves/non-white people obey, worship, and forgive people classified as White. The suspected killer, a 22-year-old White Man, was apprehended on Friday #WhiteOnWhiteCrime Kirk, who was Suspected of being Racist as a result of his public comments about non-white people, was gunned down during a public speech in front of a large crowd of White people. President Trump immediately condemned the murder as an act of "radical left political violence." The president linked Kirk's murder with Luigi Mangione's 2024 slaughter of insurance CEO Brian Thompson. Speaking of White Terrorist Violence, 16-year-old Desmond Holly opened fire at Evergreen High School in Jefferson County, Colorado. Yes. That's the same Jefferson County as the 1999 Columbine slaughter. In October of 1994 (mere months after the arrest of Orenthal James Simpson), Susan Smith was introduced to the world as a #WeepingWhiteWoman who claimed a no count black dude stole her car with her two small White children in the back seat. White people across the land were furious. It took nearly two weeks for police to discover that Smith not only fabricated the story that a black fella drove off with her kids, she ultimately confessed to drowning her own toddlers. Gus insists that listeners pay particular attention to the black misandry of this case. Last week, we learned that Susan Smith and her on-again-off-again partner David made pretty good money and could afford a nice house in an exclusive region of Union, South Carolina. In spite of it all, David and Susan maintained a tacky, trashy arrangement where they each engaged in sexual intercourse with other partners. As soon as Smith concocted her lie about the carjacking, kidnapping black dude, people using logic began to question her testimony. Before being photographed by police, Smith asked the officer if she should remove her glasses. The officer wondered how in the world she could be concerned about her appearance when her two children had just been stolen. Similar to child raping Mary Kay Letourneau, readers are informed that Susan is pretty and perfect and could have been a model, although she's a bit frail. Aaron Goings visits Seattle's Elliott Bay Book Company to discuss his brand new book, Red Harbor: Radical Workers and Community Struggle in the Pacific Northwest. During this week's Labor Day "holiday," numerous protests were held around the US to "demand" better work conditions and less corporate welfare for White billionaires. ICE raids against non-white people born outside the US continue - with massive disruptions to many workplaces. Apparently, there are so many non-white people to round up, ICE is holding job fairs to recruit more workers. Much like "Alligator Alcatraz" and similar detention facilities, Gus T. is not sure he'd be willing to accept this form of employment. A White "transgender" shooter allegedly opened fired at Annunciation Catholic School, killing at least two students and wounding more than a dozen others. Robin Westman is alleged to have taken "her" own life and left behind a manifesto, social media rants, and evidence of "her" adoration of other White school shooters. Westman allegedly denied that "racism" and "white supremacy" did not motivate this attack, however numerous outlets report that "she" used White Supremacist symbols in her media posting. In fact, a number of reports accused Westman of being "antisemitic" because the attack was on a Catholic school. This week also marks 20 years since the apocalyptic destruction and loss of life that resulted from Hurricane Katrina and the breach of the New Orleans levees.
