The Creative Brew

This is the first episode for 2023 and it comes with a somber note. Between my wife’s dad’s passing and my mom’s abrupt passing from this world, it’s been and emotional start to 2023. Even recording this episode and thinking about my life, it was a few moments where I had to hold back some tears. Yet with great loss, comes some of the most important lessons. To live your life, because we’re all on an expiration date. So how much do you want to love, to experience, to live and design your life? How much gratitude can you show in your world?

This episode we share a concept that listeners may or may not know of that could change the way you see your work, art, or training. This concept has been used by some of the top performers in the world: The 85 Percent Rule.

The concept that you if you tell someone to operate at 85% of their capacity then mentally people perform better, than if you tell them to work at 100%. When you’re able to relax and allow yourself to be flexible, you can fully optimize your training, art, or business.

Do you think the 85 Percent rule is true and how can this be applicable to your life?

This episode I share some Tuesday inspiration. We talk about Giving yourself a chance. I relate this from my creative/business/sports/coaching background. Figuring out ways of just giving yourself a chance to succeed in your life. Many times we complain about all of the external things, when many times it’s ourselves that’s not giving ourselves a chance to perhaps change the story of our lives.
