This is the advice you didn't know you needed to hear.
This week’s episode is inspired by the many recent conversations I’ve had with culinary solopreneurs who are struggling to attract their ideal students.
Week after week, they create content on Instagram and their blog, but it doesn’t get the engagement they hoped for—and they can’t help but wonder why.
"Why isn't anyone commenting on my posts?"
"Why doesn't anyone sign up for my freebie?"
"Why isn't my course selling?"
Maybe you're asking yourself these questions too?
Well if so, you’ll definitely want to tune in, because I’m sharing the secret ingredient to attracting your ideal students. We’re diving deep into how showing glimpses of your true self—outside of the food world—can help bring people to you who are genuinely excited to learn from you.

Week after week, cookbook author and cooking teacher Julia Turshen opens her kitchen to the world...
Since 2021, Julia Turshen has logged into Zoom practically every Sunday to cook with eager home cooks from around the world.
Once a temporary replacement for book tour demos during the pandemic, Sunday cooking classes are now a key pillar of Julia’s week. She’s swapped random makeshift demo kitchens for her comfortable and familiar kitchen in her Hudson Valley farmhouse.
And in Julia’s words, “I went from enjoying those [cooking demos] the least to enjoying those the most.”
In this episode, Julia shares all the details about how she started her journey teaching cooking online, valuable lessons learned, plus surprising insights she’s discovered along the way.
I can’t wait for you to hear all that Julia has to share!

What if teaching online was the vehicle, not the destination?
Today, we’re going deep into one of the biggest breakthroughs I’ve experienced over the last several months.
While working with my students inside Culinary Creator Business School, I realized that so much of what we were doing was beyond just how to teach a 90-minute Zoom class.
We were diving into strategies such as how to grow your audience through developing a signature talk and pitching podcasts, as well as how to create your own podcast. Online classes were just a small part of the overall online business puzzle. That’s when I had an a-ha moment that lead me to create my special 3-part framework called the Strategy Strata.
In this episode, I’m sharing my Strategy Strata, which breaks down the 3 different levels of strategy based on key criteria. No matter if you’re a beginner or experienced solopreneur, you’ll get more clear on your next steps after listening to this episode! I can’t wait for you to tune in.

I’M BACK!
In this episode, I’m excited to share what’s been happening over the last several months and what you can expect going forward.
We’ll be chatting about alignment versus perfection, especially in light of my own realization that I wasn’t fully aligned with my business at the end of 2022.
I’m also sharing the new vision and mission for Culinary Creator Business School plus how we can work together, no matter where you’re at in your culinary business.

Imagine this, chef...
You get an email from your dream corporate client asking if you’d be able to teach an online cooking class for their team.
One catch: they need 40 ingredient kits. And you don't provide them...at least for now.
You can either tell them, sorry, we don’t offer kits. Or, you can say YES…then figure it out.
That’s exactly what our guest has done time after time in her career, including at the start of the pandemic when she took the leap online.
In this episode, we're chatting with Jennifer Clair, culinary instructor and founder of Home Cooking New York, a recreational cooking school for home cooks in New York City.
Jennifer is the former Food Editor at Martha Stewart Living and author of "Six Basic Cooking Techniques: Culinary Essentials for the Home Cook", a cookbook based on her best-selling cooking class. She also hosts Kitchen Radio, a cooking podcast that follows her into her guest’s home kitchens while they cook a dish together.
Jennifer’s fearless approach to building and growing her business is admirable and as you hear her talk about how she navigated the pandemic, you can’t help but feel inspired and energized to take charge of your business and all of the opportunities ahead of you.
