Fears can hold us back in life, and overcoming those fears can seem like a monumental process. Today’s episode features a woman who has faced her fears and written a book about the process.
Lynda Sunshine West is a true inspiration, having learned profound lessons about herself and fear throughout her journey. In fact, she believes that nothing truly happens inside our comfort zones and encourages all of us to step outside of it. She even coined the saying "do it because you're scared" to motivate us to face our fears head-on.
Lynda has a remarkable story to share. Having been in the corporate world for 36 years and holding 49 jobs, she navigated her way through life focusing on survival rather than a specific career choice. Her first marriage was to an abusive alcoholic, reminiscent of her own father, but she found the strength to leave that toxic situation with two young children in tow, walking away without even a car to her name.
In 2015, Lynda wrote a powerful book titled "The Year of Fears," documenting her journey of breaking through 365 fears in just one year. This pivotal accomplishment led her to embark on a new path, collaborating on various book projects and delving into the world of publishing. But it didn't stop there. Lynda's quest to discover her true self and explore her creativity led her to make a dramatic career change, leaving a successful but unfulfilling legal job behind to become a publisher.
Throughout this episode, Lynda shares invaluable insights on facing fears, making bold decisions, and the transformative power of sharing our stories. As we delve into her experiences, you'll discover the profound impact that faith and strong support networks can have on overcoming fear.
About the Guest:
Lynda Sunshine West is the Founder and CEO of Action Takers Publishing, a Speaker, 23 Time #1 International Bestselling Author, Contributing Writer at Entrepreneur Magazine and Brainz Magazine, Executive Film Producer, and Red Carpet Interviewer.
She ran away at 5 years old and was gone an entire week, came home riddled with fears and, in turn, became a people-pleaser. At age 51, she decided to break through one fear every day for a year and, in doing so, she gained an exorbitant amount of confidence to share her story. Her mission is to empower 5 million women and men to write their stories to make a greater impact on the planet.

Have you always been curious about the benefits of CBD and why it is becoming such a popular option for the treatment of a wide range of health and wellness issues?
In today's episode, we delve into the fascinating world of CBD with our special guest, Netta - a seasoned massage therapist with over 30 years of experience. Netta shares her journey of discovering the potential benefits of CBD for pain and inflammation relief, both through topical application and internal use.
We learn about CBD's interaction with the endocannabinoid system, which regulates various body functions. Netta discusses how the timing and dosage of CBD consumption can be tailored to an individual's specific symptoms and preferences. For example, if anxiety interferes with sleep, she suggests taking CBD in the evening, whereas taking it in the morning may be more beneficial for anxiety during the day.
Netta provides valuable insights on various CBD products and administration methods, such as tinctures, vaping, edibles, and topical creams. What sets this episode apart is Netta's emphasis on finding high-quality CBD products. She cautions against purchasing products without a certificate of authenticity (COA) from a third-party lab that tests CBD content, THC levels, pesticides, heavy metals, and contaminants.
Netta strongly believes people deserve the best and shouldn't settle for low-quality, potentially harmful products. While CBD usage is becoming increasingly popular, our discussion doesn't overlook potential concerns related to drug testing and employment policies. Netta shares some guidance on navigating these issues within different industries and suggests additional resources for further education.
Whether you're already using CBD or considering giving it a try, this episode is a must-listen!
About the Guest:
Netta Chiorello is the founder of New Health, a wellness company offering self-care education and wellness support featuring hemp-derived CBD. Monica Ramirez is a Transformational Belief Coach and self-proclaimed Warrior of Love. Monica shares her personal experience with divorce, having been married and divorced four times. She delves into the emotional journey of divorce, discussing the feelings of guilt, shame, and anger that often accompany the process.
Monica also challenges the societal norm of harboring resentment towards ex-partners and instead encourages listeners to view their exes as teachers and opportunities for personal growth. Join us as we explore strategies for shifting mindsets and finding compassion in the midst of divorce.
Three of the strategies Monica shares include:
· Shift your perspective: Divorce can be a painful experience, but it's important to remember that it is not a reflection of your worth. By shifting your mindset towards viewing your ex-spouse as a teacher who helped you learn and grow, you can find compassion and understanding.
· Give yourself time – while it may be difficult to be alone, it is important to learn how you want to be treated and how to choose a partner that will provide the loving relationship you want. That time for yourself is individual, but it critical not to rush the process.
· Take time for self-reflection: It's crucial to give yourself time and space to process the emotions that come with divorce. By reflecting on your own choices and understanding why you chose your partner, you can gain insight into your own needs and values, ultimately leading to personal growth.
About the Guest:
Creative, Passionate, and Deeply Connected… Monica is the Warrior of Love. Since she was born, she was very open with her gifts and dedicates her life to unearth them. She heals herself from Lupus, RA, Fibromyalgia, and depression, and she understands that this is part of her teaching to help others do the same.
She is the Artist of Authenticity which means she is the artist in the traditional sense, and also teaches people how to master the art of love. Monica is a transformational belief coach and helps others go from confusion to confidence to design the life of your dreams and have the freedom and be empowered loving yourself.
She is certified in many modalities and works in groups and one on one. Monica empowers others to paint the picture of warrior confidence so they can fulfill their dreams.
