The coalition between the ANC and ICOSA at Kannaland in the Little Karoo has come under fire. This, after concerns were raised about the mayor and deputy mayor's criminal records. During Kannaland's inaugural council meeting on Tuesday last week, ICOSA President Jeffrey Donson was re-elected mayor, the former Speaker Werner Meshoa, also from ICOSA, was elected deputy mayor and the ANC's Nicolaas Valentyn as Speaker. The DA's Shadow Minister of Cooperative Governance, Cilliers Brink, says they agree with child rights organisations and other parties calling for the removal of Donson and Meshoa from their positions...
