    The DA on parliament's communications portfolio committee has questioned the legal grounds for the ANC's proposal that the remaining four members vacate their positions so that a completely new SABC board can be found. The ANC said that the remaining board must be dissolved and an interim board be appointed. The ANC has the majority on the committee - which has put on hold the shortlisting of the 24 candidates for a new board at the cash strapped public broadcaster. DA Spokesperson on Communications Phumzile Van Damme says she believes the ruling party was never interested in filling the board vacancies at the public broadcaster

    The Council for the Advancement of the South African Constitution (CASAC) has taken the Ingonyama Trust to court to force the Trust to pay back millions of rands it has unlawfully collected in rent for nearly a decade from occupiers under Zulu King, Goodwill Zwelithini. CASAC has accused the Ingonyama Trust of acting in an unlawful manner by coercing people to sign illegal 40-year lease agreements.

    A tweet by Medical Doctor Sibongile Tito, show a picture of a stack of forms with medical evidence of injuries sustained by patients who opened cases of sexual and physical assault with the South African Police Service, awaiting collection by SAPS from one of our state hospitals has sparked outrage, on how authorities deal with such case. Some of the medical evidence date back to 2018, meaning the cases are still stagnant and have yet to be investigated.
