In his last address as president, Sdumo Dlamini has mentioned several achievements by Cosatu, telling delegates to be proud of having successfully fought the battle to introduce the national minimum wage. We look back at his legacy as the president of Cosatu.

Former Reserve Bank governor, Professor Tito Mboweni caused an uproar on social media after speaking English during an interview on an SABC radio station Munghana Lonene. People on Twitter were angry that Mr Mboweni, who is Tsonga speaking, spoke English on a radio station that caters for people who speak Xitsonga. Tito Mboweni has since threatened to quit Twitter saying that it is an abuse platform. We are now joined on the line by a journalist at the Business Insider South Africa, Bombi Mavundza, who is Xitsonga speaking and says "besides representation, our languages matter and we all owe it to ourselves to continuously show pride".
