The LGBTI business summit which was held on 11 September in Johannesburg was said to put LGBTI agenda for economic empowerment. The summit was convened by the PLUS LGBTI business network, which aims to make a strong business case for the economic inclusion of LGBTI people and to open up new business and other economic empowerment opportunities. PLUS is an initiative of the Other Foundation, which is an African trust that advances equality and freedom in southern Africa with a particular focus on sexual orientation and gender identity.
