Since leaving his position as station manager at Metro FM in 1994, Mr. Radebe was appointed General Manager of the SABC’s Commercial Radio Stations, made up of Metro FM, 5FM, Highveld Stereo and Radio 2000. In 1996, he took over the national PBS portfolio of stations under the SABC as General Manager and was in 1999 appointed the first Director of the combined Radio and Television Sports Department (Top sport) where he extended the listenership of cricket, rugby and tennis in black radio stations and in 1998 covered the Soccer World Cup in France.
