There has been a wide outcry against Nafupa’s stance on non-black funeral companies conducting business in “black” townships. In a statement issued by Nafupa last week, they argue that black businesses were not given business by Indian or White families and therefore it is not fair for these companies to do business in the townships.

Disclosing the festive season road traffic deaths and volumes (yesterday). The Minister of Transport said preliminary data for the period starting December 1‚ 2017 to January 9‚ 2018 showed that there were 1‚527 people who died on the roads in that period compared to 1‚714 fatalities in the same period the previous year.
