Today's Promise: Mark 1:40-41
Leprosy was the most devastating disease of the New Testament days.
The leper who came to Jesus believed He could heal him, but he wasn't sure Jesus would take the time or have the desire to heal him.
When Jesus saw this leper, He responded with compassion. Jesus's compassion was followed by action, and He healed him.
We often come to God in prayer, feeling as though we need to convince God to hear our prayer or meet our needs. We forget that Jesus is generous with His healing and help.
Today's Promise: Isaiah 40:11
One of the most consistent pictures of our relationship with God is that of the shepherd and his sheep. Jesus called himself the "good" shepherd.
As your Good Shepherd, He also carries you in His arms
On your weakest days, when you are struggling or hurting, Jesus comes along, picks you up, and carries you close to His heart.
Finally, your Good Shepherd gently leads you. Like all sheep, it's easy to get distracted and wander away from the right path.
Today's Promise: Ephesians 3:16
God promises strength and power through His Holy Spirit no matter what you face today.
Real strength begins in your heart and works its way out into your life.
God is giving you supernatural strength to face any challenge before you today.
The very power of Christ is flowing through you. His Holy Spirit will give you the strength and determination you never thought you had.
When your heart is empowered and strengthened, you can do anything. You can go longer than you imagine, further than you thought possible, and stay with it until you finish.
Today's Promise: Luke 10:20
Jesus said the most important thing in this life is knowing where you will spend the next life. Just like the fog coming from your breath on a cold morning, life on this earth only lasts a moment. Compared to eternity, this life is just a vapor.
You don't have to fear death. Christ has a place for you in heaven. We don't know all the details, but we know it will be in the presence of God, with no pain or death. God will wipe every tear away.
The greatest blessing is knowing your name is written in heaven.
Today's promise: Psalm 34:7
Few people have ever seen an angel. Even in the Bible, there are only a few instances of an Angel manifesting itself. However, God promises that these unseen guardians surround you with supernatural protection.
When you know God's angels are surrounding and protecting you, you never have to fear. There are more with you than against you.
Pray God opens your eyes to the spiritual battle around you.
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.
Here are the promises we covered this week.
Psalm 103:12 – Jesus Removed Your Sin.
Hebrews 13:5 - God Will Never Leave or Forsake You.
Isaiah 12:2 – I Will Trust God and Not be Afraid.
2 Corinthians 9:8 - God Pours His Grace on Me.
Psalm 25:12 - God Shows Me the Right Choice.
Today's Promise: Psalm 25:12
Sometimes, life's choices are not always easy. Choices are not always black and white. Sometimes, you have to choose between good and good.
To fear the Lord is recognizing Him for who He is and showing Him the reverence and respect, He is due. Fearing the Lord is not cowering before him but understanding that He is the Lord God who holds eternity in His hands.
Next time you face a decision, submit your life to the Lord (fear the Lord) and ask Him for wisdom and guidance.
Today's Promise: 2 Corinthians 9:8
God's grace is His unmerited favor and blessing. There is nothing you can do to earn His grace. Every blessing you experience demonstrates God's grace in your life. God pours out His grace on you because He loves you.
He also gives His grace for a purpose.
So many people need grace. They don't need condemnation or criticism. They just need grace.
Today, allow His grace to flow through you to everyone you meet.
Today's Promise: Isaiah 12:2
Since God is your salvation, you never have to live in fear. He gives you strength in the midst of a fearful world.
Fear is the opposite of faith. You can't walk in fear and walk in faith - the greater your fear, the less your faith. However, the opposite is also true — the greater your faith, the less your fear. The more you trust in God as your salvation, the less you struggle with fear.
Jesus is your salvation. He is with you right now. He is your strength, and He is all you need. When you know Jesus is your salvation, you can sing for joy as the world around you shivers in fear.
Today's Promise: Hebrews 13:5
When you feel like the world has turned its back on you, there is one who has promised never to leave or forsake you.
Even if you have slipped away from the Lord, He has never forsaken you.
If you are lonely today, run to the One who has never and will never forget you. If you have been hurt by others, run to the God who has promised to always be with you. If God is calling you to a new ministry, remember that He will be with you.
