Today's Promise: Isaiah 43:2
Sometimes, the problems of life can come over you like a giant wave. You feel like you may drown in the crashing waves. Other times, it seems a raging fire has consumed everything in your world.
During those times, remember God is with you in the flood and in the fire.
During those times, remember you are not alone. God knows what you are going through and will lead you through the flood and the fire. He will give you peace, faith, and even joy amid the problems you face.
Today's Promise: Zephaniah 3:17
Did you know that God rejoices over you? So many Christians feel God is mad or frustrated with them. They think their Christian life is just one big disappointment to God. They come to God in prayer, filled with regret, shame, and embarrassment.
God holds you in his arms and sings over you. He looks down from heaven and declares, "That's my boy! That's my girl! I love them so much! I am so proud of them!"
Today, God is singing over you the way a proud father sings over his newborn child.
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.
Here are the promises we covered this week.
John 15:11 – Jesus Gives Joy.
Romans 8:26 - The Holy Spirit Intercedes for You.
Isaiah 41:10 – No More Fear.
Matthew 10:29-31 - God Knows the Details of Your Life.
Psalm 119:11 – You Have Victory Over Sin.
Today's Promise: Psalm 119:11
How do you live a life pleasing to the Lord?
How do you live above the sin that so easily pulls us down?
In this promise, we find the key to victory over sin is putting God's Word deep in your heart.
The Word of God is the foundation of the Christian life.
Something powerful happens when you put God's Word into your heart. The Psalmist describes it as treasuring God's Word.
As you "treasure," or make God's Word a priority in your life, His Word renews your mind, and keeps you from sin.
Today's Promise: Matthew 10:29-31
Have you ever felt insignificant to God?
With almost 8 billion people globally, it's easy to feel insignificant.
Jesus said if a little bird can fall from a tree and God notices, how much more does God know the details of your life?
God knows and cares about the details of your life. There is no issue, worry, or decision too small to involve God. God wants to walk with you and share in the little things of your life.
Today's Promise: Isaiah 41:10
What are you afraid of?
Psychologists tell us we are born with only two fears: the fear of falling and of loud noises. Every other fear is a learned fear. Unfortunately, we seem to be pretty good learners.
In this verse, God commands us not to live in fear. Fear is confessing that God is not in control. It is confessing that God is not watching over you. In today's episode, we look at God's command/promise not to be afraid. You'll learn five reasons you should not be afraid.
Learn how the Lord can strengthen and help you overcome your fears.
Today's Promise: Romans 8:26
Have you ever begun to pray, only to find you were at a loss for words? Maybe you have wondered if you were using the right words or praying the right way. Have you ever started to pray and found you were at a loss for words?
I have good news! In today's episode, you'll see how the Holy Spirit prays for you even when you don't know how or what to pray. He takes the cry of your heart and brings it to God.
In your weakest times, the Holy Spirit is praying for you.
Today's Promise: John 15:11
The Christian life is a Joy-filled life. Jesus was the most joyful person to ever walk on the earth.
Joy is different from happiness. Happiness is all about your circumstances. If everything is going your way, then you are happy. If not, you're not happy. Joy is heart-based.
Understanding and living in the complete love of God is the beginning point for joy.
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.
Here are the promises we covered this week.
Philippians 1:6 – God Will Complete His Work in You.
John 5:24 – You Have Eternal Life.
1 Peter 3:12 – God Listens for Your Prayers.
John 8:36 – Jesus Has Set You Free.
1 Peter 5:10 - God Uses Suffering.
Today's Promise: 1 Peter 5:10
No one wants to suffer, but suffering is often part of life.
When an unbeliever goes through suffering, it is without hope. As Christians, we know our suffering is perfecting us. We can rejoice in our suffering because we know God is using it for good in our lives.
God doesn't bring you suffering, but He does allow suffering. He uses suffering in your life to perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
