AORN speaks with Scott Hantz, a firefighter and perioperative director of nursing at the Miller Family Heart and Vascular Institute at the Cleveland Clinic, about the dangers of surgical smoke and how the AORN Center of Excellence in Surgical Safety: Smoke Evacuation program and Go Clear Award is making the OR a safer, healthier place to work.
