Today, as I took my first Jiu Jitsu class; I was reminded that slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Meaning I had to slow down to learn the moves and to make sure I didn't gas out because if I gassed out I would not be able to complete the move I learned tonight... and holy crap I was worn out by the end of the class. It was a freaking workout.
By slowing down, you have a chance to master the movement or technique... and with repetition, you start to build the muscle memory or habit needed to unconsciously complete the movement and make it look fluid. That's how we should work on our businesses or any venture or new strategy we implement. Everyone sucks at the beginning, but after a lot of practice and putting in the work, we get better at it.
