Frank Piazza, a certified Forensic Video Technician with LEVA (Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Video Association International) and the president of Legal Audio Video, LLC, submitted a sworn declaration on April 25, 2025, in support of the defense in Sean Combs' federal criminal case. Piazza detailed his professional background, explaining his extensive experience analyzing, authenticating, and enhancing digital video evidence. In the declaration, he asserted that he had reviewed multiple video files purportedly related to allegations against Combs. He conducted forensic examinations to determine whether the videos had been tampered with, whether the embedded metadata matched the visual content, and whether any edits or alterations were present.


Piazza concluded that several of the prosecution’s video exhibits contained inconsistencies, including discontinuities in frame sequencing and metadata anomalies suggesting that the footage had been re-encoded or altered at some point. These findings, according to Piazza, raise serious concerns about the chain of custody and authenticity of key digital evidence. His declaration is expected to form a core part of the defense strategy aimed at undermining the credibility of video footage the government may rely on to establish Combs' alleged involvement in sex trafficking and racketeering activities. The defense will likely use Piazza’s findings to challenge the admissibility or weight of that evidence before the jury.
