Aloha friends and mahalo! This week we watched yet another extreme sports DCOM. If you haven't guessed by jovial greeting, we watched the 1999 classic (that Taiwo can't remember?!?) Johnny Tsunami! 

This movie is giving us thoughtful casting, POC leads, thoughtful discussions on race and wealth (#EatTheRich!), and of course all of the extreme sports two 90s girls can dream of! We're talking surfing, snowboarding, and the difference in 90s & current DCOM budgets. Were the budgets bigger then or now? And if it's bigger now, WHERE IS IT ALL GOING? (Hint: poorly mixed songs that are completely forgettable.)

Oh sorry. That's Zombie for This week we watched the highly(questionable) anticipated sequel to Zombies, Zombies 2 (And nothing else)!

And honestly it was all about the Werewolves and we're only slightly mad about it.

In this installment, we add indigenous peoples and the misappropriation of their tribal lands to our thinly veiled race allegory. And boy is it in the right*wrong* hands!

This week we dove fin first into first into maybe the best DCOM we've watched so far(?), The Thirteenth Year! Why the best you may ask? Well this movie had everything!

Dud duh dih duh! What's the sitch?

This week we delve into the all too familiar world of Kim Possible and her (supposed to to be) bumbling sidekick Ron Stoppable as we watch 2019's Kim Possible DCOM!

Did this DCOM live up to our Disney Channel Original fantasies? Shall we count the ways?

1. Shego = Hot
2. Drakken  = certainly evil (but more Doofenschmirtz than Drakken)
3. Shego  pressons on black gloves = ICONIC
4. Christy Carlson |Romano cameo of MEH proportions
5. A seriously obvious STALKER
6. Wade as Kim's personal assistant *cough* we mean as Kim's digital sidekick
7. Olympic level unnecessary flips
8. A potentially culturally appropriative grandma

This week we discuss a movie that's been lost to the DCOM vault....until now! And we may  have inadvertently discovered why!

Can of Worms is the 6th Disney Channel Original Movie, and if you've never  seen this DCOM but the name sounds familiar, that's because it was based on a 1999 book of the same name by Kathy Mackel, who also wrote the screenplay! #GirlPower 

We ponder the facts of this movie like: 

• How did Disney get such a quick turnaround on this?
• Was there a rule in the puppet handbook that mandated all puppets have HUMAN TEETH??
• Why did life in the other galaxies operate exactly as ours....(see Police alien)
• And were we so freaking whiny as teens ourselves?
