Sports journalist, podcast host, and motivational speaker, Indya Durham stops by the show to discuss her rise to becoming the official ringside reporter for RWA Pro Wrestling! At just 23, she has already made her mark on the world of sports, earning her bachelor’s degree in Sports Communication from Point Park University in 2024. Immediately after graduation, Indya packed her bags, moved to Los Angeles and worked as an ambassador for the Los Angeles Rams. In addition, she joined the Los Angeles Clippers Hype Squad from 2024-2025. In this episode, Indya touches on several topics including the differences between speaking on social media as an influencer versus speaking on camera during an interview with a professional athlete. One of my favorite parts of the show was when Indya talked about how she navigates the sports industry as a young, Black woman. When she’s not working as a reporter, Indya hosts her podcast called “IndyTalk 101,” where she offers words of wisdom from a faith-based perspective. Thank you Indya for sharing your journey with me!

Yvette Renee Royal is the first African-American woman in the United States to open an esthetic salon featuring LPG Endermologie. Endermologie is a non-surgical procedure for cellulite treatment, blood circulation, and overall skin appearance. Her salon, Anastasia’s Crown Esthetic Services, is named after her niece who passed away as an infant. In this episode, Yvette explains the spiritual meaning of Anastasia’s Crown. She also shares how she is using her business to uplift women. I really enjoyed sitting down with Yvette and I strongly encourage women to book a session with Anastasia’s Crown. As a Lyft driver, I meet so many fascinating people on a regular basis. One woman in particular, Veronica Colsher, really piqued my interest during our trip together. Like myself, Veronica was born and raised in Philly and she’s a diehard Eagles fan! Also, we both moved to Pittsburgh from Philly to pursue higher education. While we share multiple similarities, we also have our differences. For example, I am CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC while Veronica is DELUSIONAL LY OPTIMISTIC. Whether she had to move in with friends because the roof of her apartment caved in or overcome medical challenges throughout her childhood, Veronica always maintained a positive outlook. As a result, she has figured out how to be the best version of herself.
Stay tuned for a compelling conversation with one of my favorite Lyft passengers.
As a Lyft driver, I meet so many fascinating people on a regular basis. One woman in particular, Veronica Colsher really peaked my interest during our trip together. Like myself, Veronica was born and raised in Philly and she’s a diehard Eagles fan just like me! Also, we both moved to Pittsburgh from Philly to pursue higher education. While there are multiple similarities that we share, we do have some differences. While I am cautiously optimistic that things will work out for the best in my life, Veronica is DELUSIONALLY optimistic. Whether the roof of her apartment caves in forcing her to move in with friends or she’s battling medical challenges as a kid, Veronica has found that being unapologetically positive has paid dividends to her ability to overcome life’s obstacles. So sit back, relax and listen to one of my favorite Lyft passengers educate you about delusional positivity.
