In the bio of the podcast, it talks about how one of our main driving forces is the disparity that exists between the African-American community and others. While the issues have persisted for far too long and have been tackled from those far more qualified, we think it’s important for all of us to have these conversations, and have them often; if we are going to make headway. The title is derived from W.E.B. Du Bois’ seminal book, The Souls of Black Folk, which was a pivotal moment for the study of Black people in America. The health of the African-American community is an epidemic and we have to have honest conversations about it, so if we offended you in any way, we meant every word. Hope you enjoy, see you next episode.
