Hola Digheads! This week Josh and Mike are joined by comedian, Matt Stovall!
Matt’s brand of comedy is an honest one – almost too honest, as he’s not afraid to speak freely, and without a filter. In fact, his lack of filter has gotten him in trouble both on stage and off.
For instance, Matt is probably one of the only people to get kicked out of an Amon Amarth (Viking Death Metal) show for fighting or tell a Special Olympics joke with a table of full of Special Olympics coaches in the front row.
Luckily for us though, these stories are hilarious.
Matt’s also shares stories about his early experiences in black comedy rooms, his love of metal music, his comedy influences (would you have guessed Dane Cook and Larry the Cable Guy?), and stories about his old internet TV show “The Salty Pirate,” where he interviewed bands and comedians like Doug Stanhope and Jim Florentine!
We also ask the tough questions on this podcast. Such as “Have you ever been called ‘Matt Snowball’???” You’ll have to listen to the cast to hear Matt’s shocking answer!
This was another fun ep!

Hola Digheads! This week Josh and Mike are joined by comedian, actor, spin-teacher, and one-time slam poet, Mike Turpin!
As a member of local comedy team Color Me Funny, Mike’s uplifting brand of eccentric, often-improvisational humor blurs the line between stand-up comedy and performance art. Don’t let the fact that Mike Turpin could kick your ass lead you to believe that he isn’t intelligent, kind, and totally weird.
A physical trainer by day, Mike has also has been flexing his acting muscle in both Color Me Funny’s series of web shorts, as well as in the upcoming Baltimore-based sitcom, Charm City.
Also, Mike has recently been appearing on 98 Rock’s morning show with Mickey, Amelia, and Speigel, though sadly this format does not allow for those stunning Mike Turpin visuals (sorry ladies).
In this episode we discuss Mike’s younger days as a slam poet, why Mike Turpin doesn't drink, Faces of Death Videos, his comedy influences, and more! It was quite the fun ep! Find all things Mike Turpin at Color Me Funny’s website – ColorMeFunnyComedy.com

Hola Digheads! This week, Mike and Josh have the pleasure of chatting with Mickey Freeland and Jen Wasner of Wye Oak!
Jenn and Andy Stack formed the indie rock outfit Wye Oak in 2006. They quickly garnered respect in Baltimore and beyond. The AV Club deemed their album “Civilian” the best album of 2011. And in support of that album they embarked on a world tour for over a year, playing more than 200 shows in 2011 alone.
The grind of a world tour seems to have left Jenn burnt out. She blames her bowels. But, while she’s home, she’s still writing jammy jams. Jenn’s new poppy project, Dungeonesse, will be out May 14 via Secretly Canadian.
Mickey, a damn fantastic musician in his own right, also contributes to Jenn’s “Flock of Dimes” project. Mickey’s an excellent rapper and beat maker. Check out Mickey’s awesome solo album, “The Last of the Tight Wiggers,” which is available for 5 bones at mickeyfreemusic.com!
We also discuss the XFL (RIP), Monute Bol invented the phrase “My bad,” ButterMusic Girls, Beyonce, being depressed, quippin hard, loving puns, Jenn doesn’t want to talk about her therapist, and so much more!

Hola Digheads! This week, Mike and Josh have the pleasure of chatting with the talented writer and stand up comedian, Jim Meyer!
Jim is a grown ass man and walking this world as a Comedy Highlander. Jim Meyer has been called the greatest force of laughter the Earth will ever know by Jim Meyer. He has been called a ray of light in a world overcome with darkness by Josh Kuderna. He's also been called Mike by the Chinese woman at the sub shop who never remembers his name.
We were lucky enough to talk to Jim about his trip to the holy land – Petersburg, Kentucky – to visit the Creation Museum for an article he’s writing for Grist Magazine. Jim explains that Adam and Eve walked amongst velociraptors 6,000 years ago. Just a little while before Noah built that big boat!
Jim also shares the harrowing story of when he fought of a robber on the porch of his Baltimore home. It’s truly a terrifying story, and we really appreciate Jim sharing the story on the cast.
We also discuss boring Satanist churches, hipster Al Borland, Tom Brady’s made of CGI materials, Darfur – Worse Than the Other 3!, Mike accuses Josh of being TV ugly, Calvin peeing on stuff and praying for stuff, eastern standard Hammer Time (HT), and so much more!

He also produces and hosts monthly showcases at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and co-hosts the Super Comedy show every third Friday at Dionysus in Mount Vernon, Baltimore.
We talk to Stav about his budding comedy career, his openness to drugs, not reading, and his love of Mickey D’s chicken nuggets.
We also discuss the string of Judge related shows (Judy, Mathis, Dredd), suicide advice hotline (make it count!), that sickness that is going around!, harboring grammar Nazis, and of course 9/11!

Hola Digheads! This week, Mike and Josh have the pleasure of meeting and interviewing the funny funny feller, Peter Muth!
We interview a range of comedians that are in different stages of their careers on this show, and Peter is just getting started with the stand em ups. Peter is what you call a “one line” comedian and he’s damn good at it. Coincidentally, he also has a hilarious twitter feed! @TweeterMuth
And wouldn’t you know it? Pete was a contestant on American Idol. And you better believe we talk about that! Pete has the voice of an angel. Check out IrishToothache.com
We also discuss Pete and Mike’s apathy toward Sci-Fi, guilty pleasures like reality television and the Westboro Baptist Church, Breaking Bad vs. The Wire, Josh has never seen the Breakfast Club, and so much more!

Hola Digheads! This week, Mike has to work and Josh flies solo for a conversation with their friend and fellow improviser, Jon U!
While Jon started doing improv several years ago, saying things like, “Yes, and!” “Pass the clap!” and “Let’s start a dog fighting ring in my basement! This isn’t a character saying this! I really want to do this in real life!” it isn’t shocking that he’s one hell of a hilarious improviser.
During this episode, Jon discusses how he got into improv, informs Josh he’s so much more than poop jokes, and tells him about a dream where Josh and a mystery girl steal from his parents…yeah, a dream!
Most importantly, Jon shares the story of his journey from “super Christian” to atheist. It’s an honest, yet funny conversation. Jon and Josh don’t believe in God, but you better believe they believe in spirits, ghosts, and aliens!
