  • Episode 8: The circus (aka TPD and Community Bridges, Inc.)

In episode 8, I talk to Jacqueline from Community Bridges, Inc. They walk me through the Title 36 "process". After experiencing workplace retaliation and harassment, I filed a number of police reports outlining my safety concerns. I also emailed the Mayor and Council about these concerns. Instead of investigating the issues I raised, TPD and CBI filed two Title 36 forms with the Pima County court (one of these was approved by Judge Ferlan, who should be removed from their position). The circus used these forms to try to coerce me into involuntary psychological evaluations (and have shown up at my home on a handful of occasions). Unfortunately, there are no ways to hold them accountable because the two individuals who filed the forms in court are not considered employees of the police department. They work for a private organization that partners with the police department (Connections Health Solutions).

  • Episode 7: Mitchell Kagen

For episode 7, I speak to independent police auditor Mitchell Kagen. Mitchell Kagen is supposed to investigate complaints of police misconduct. However, when I reported my concerns about police misconduct to the Mayor and Council, Mitchell Kagen reported me to the mental health team at the Tucson Police Department. After this, the police department began to harass me, showing up four times at my home. They also tried to coerce me into two psychological evaluations. Here is his email response to my complaints regarding the individuals who applied for the evaluations: "Neither Savina Lipchak nor Hailey Wingert were/are employees of TPD.  They both work for Connections Health Solutions, a non-City of Tucson private company.  As such, neither I nor OPS are empowered to investigate "wrongdoing" committed by Wingert and/or Lipchak."

  • Episode 6: Supervisor Kelly (# 53686)

For episode 6, I talk to a call taker who gives me the badge numbers: 202712, 105485, and 104905. I try to report Mitchell Kagen, the independent police auditor. The call taker confirms that there is a call back in place for me to speak to an officer, however, I have not heard from one. The call taker transfers me to Supervisor Kelly (#53686). After this call, I started to be harassed by the Arizona Complete Health organization and a partner organization that operates under the name Hope, Inc.

  • Episode 17: More white supremacy

When we expand the power of law enforcement and the state, we expand the power of institutions that aim to control the overpoliced factions of society in ways that are counter to the goal of liberation.

  • Episode 16: White supremacy continued...

White supremacy has been a structuring logic of this society since before it was formally established. Within our system, feminist activism has at times succeeded in tipping the scales in favor of marginalized groups. However, feminist activism in this country has and continues to exist within a context of white supremacy, and it has repeatedly been co-opted to meet supremacist goals.

  • Episode 15: White supremacy

The neoliberal state gains financially from cycles of violence. Valuable resources that could be invested into communities are being misused to punish and exploit. Our investment into punishment means that the carceral state is doing great. Meanwhile, victims continue to shoulder the burdens of violence.

  • Episode 15: Unmasking the children of the KKK

A few terms come to mind: racist/rapists, white supremacist/sexual predators, nazi/pedophiles, corrupt misogynists, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, political power, the status quo, racism, sexism, stalking, harassment, retaliation, victim-blaming, defamation, impossible standards....and so on. Shall I continue?

  • Episode 13: Tucson Americans again

The Tucson community preserves sexual abuse. White supremacists feel that they get to decide what 'legitimate' harm is depending on who is accused of what and who the accuser is, and they frame resistance to abuse as the real violence. Meanwhile, they engage in violence as a group. This is a strategy under white supremacy to shift the focus away from social accountability. Americans are just as racist now as they were in the 1920s.
