Jim Santelle, host of Amicus: A Law Review, joins us to cohost today. We’ve got so many legal questions for Jim, starting with one raised by an opinion piece on The Hill. Can lawmakers, right now, use Section 3 of the Constitution’s 14th Amendment to prevent Trump from retaking office? This clause asserts that an oath-breaking insurrectionist cannot lead the country as president. Can this go anywhere? Probably not, but it sure is an interesting thought. So what can still happen to hold Trump and his insurrectionists accountable? Well, we’re still waiting on Jack Smith to release his final report. Now that this case will not go to trial, Dom hopes that Smith will refrain from any tempering in the report he may have planned for a trial case.
Plus, Congress seems unprepared to select a new Speaker for the new session. If Congress does not have a Speaker, they cannot legally do- well- anything. Including

It was time for an update from GRACE on the December 27 Morning Show. The program included information on upcoming events in 2025.
Earl Ingram joins Dom and Jess P-S to cohost for the day. For the first time in decades, Christmas and Hanukah share a calendar day. PLUS, the first day of Hanukah (the first night this year was yesterday, December 25th) lines up with the first day of Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa, the newest holiday of the bunch, is a week-long celebration of African-American history, culture, and community, established in 1966. Regardless of the name of the holiday you may celebrate, all of these and many more of the more than a dozen winter holidays focus on cherishing peace and love amongst humans.
Turning to less joyful news, President-elect Trump has a long list for his Day 1 priorirites. And a large majority of Americans are so exhausted by all this crap that they’ve tuned out.

Guests: Earl IngramHappy holidays everyone! Earl Ingram cohosts today with Dom as we reflect on Christmas and the start of Hanukah. It seems so simple to wish our fellow humans a happy holiday season. President Biden managed it, with a unifying message about what we all share. President-elect Trump, however, chose to share a very different holiday message. Here’s a little compare-and-contrast between the two and historic Presidential holiday messages. From bizarre threats to reclaim the Panama Canal to invitations for Canada to become our 51st United State to offers (threats?) to buy Greenland, Trump’s Christmas message is a doozy.
Regardless of the messaging you choose and the holidays you’ll be celebrating, we wish you much happiness and peace in these final days of 2024. May light always triumph, and may we share in love this season.
