Richland County Dementia Care Specialist, Pam Kul-Berg, and Chris Gerber were on the Morning Show to talk about the upcoming Dementia/Alzheimer's Bowling Benefit on December 7th.
Guest: Phil NeeHarvey Kaye, Professor Emeritus of Democracy and Justice Studies at UWGB, and our favorite socialist joins us for a half hour. It’s another gloomy day here for justice as Jack Smith files to DISMISS both federal cases against Donald Trump. Will we ever see justice for our country? And what can we do to move on from here?
To start, Harvey strongly advocates for Democrats to undergo some critical self-evaluation leading us back to FDR style economic policies. Harvey is an expert on the matter, and you can read his work in article OR COMIC form. In odd news, Trump’s pick for Secretary of Labor appears to be extremely labor-friendly. Could this actually help American workers? Or is it a ploy to peel off working class voters from Democrats? By the way, if you go ahead and follow Harvey’s Bluesky with that link and drop him a note saying you heard him on The Dom Salvia Show, he’ll follow you back!

Guests: Harvey KayeRepublican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos stopped by WISN’s UpFront on Sunday. Their conversation covered Vos’ plans for the next budget and how little he plans to give to education, Vos’ hopes that Michael Gableman is disbarred and prevented from practicing law ever again, and how he turned into such a die-hard Trump supporter. In his mile a minute ramble, Vos claims that the enormous spate of school referenda on ballots across the state prove a lack of need for education funding reform. Because… nearly a third of districts needing operational funds through referenda shows that everything is working splendidly…

After that on UpNorthNews Radio, whatever reason folks were thinking of when voting for Donald Trump, they’d better prepare for the impact on food prices and the economy. Dairy farmer Hans Breitenmoser talks to Pat Kreitlow about how mass deportations would cripple every part of America’s food supply chain and higher tariffs would lead to skyrocketing grocery prices.
In the final segment of this Spotlight, the John and Gordy Show is joined by Tim Slekar of the BustED Pencils podcast, to talk about the second Trump Administration’s announcement of Linda McMahon as the Secretary of Education.

Guests: Maggie Daun, Hans Breitenmoser, Pat Kreitlow, Todd Allbaugh, Gordy Young, John Peterson, Dr. Tim Slekar, Dom SalviaTexas joins Oklahoma and Louisiana in pushing Christian faith and traditions in public schools. Just today, Texas’ education board approved a Bible-based curriculum, with a $40/student cash incentive for schools to adopt it. Not everyone in Texas’ Christian communities is on board. Religious studies professor at Southern Methodist University Mark Chancey firmly opposes the curriculum. He says the program overemphasizes Christianity and teaches in a literal fashion, rather than encouraging religious and cultural literacy. Dom and Jess get into a spirited discussion and debate over the role of religion and how it should be taught.
Finally, a bit of light. Trump may claim a sweeping mandate, but the voters just didn’t give him one.

On the matter of militarizing police and using them against political opponents, Dom again recounts being unconstitutionally arrested in the Walker years.
Back to the national stage. So Gaetz is out, and Pam Bondi is in. Just who is Pam Bondi? Well, she’s a Trump loyalist and a 2020-election denier, so she’s perfect for the nation’s chief law enforcement officer.
