The main reason that we cover the death of Nolan Wells as much as we do is to help find answers as to what happened to him on Horn Island. But it's also to expose how much race plays a part in determining who gets justice in America. We know that if a young white man was found dead after being with his Black friend group there would be a swift investigation, arrests made, and the benefit of the doubt given to the white man.
