The Doofcast

After a long, long, long hiatus, The Kryptonian Collection is back! This is a monthly series where we discuss, debate, and eventually, vote on a film's entrance into the illustrious Kryptonian Collection -  a list of the finest films our planet has to offer. Check out the full list here!

This month challenger Michael Grubb brings forth Twelve Monkeys for nomination into the collection. Is this film an unstoppable plague that will kill all humans, or can the council journey back in time and put it in the collection? Actually...I mean according to the movie it could be both? Just listen to the episode!

Apologies for the minor audio issues (aka when Daniel decided to microwave some food in the middle of the recording session)

This week on Phantom Zoned, Adrian and Scott go on a camping trip in the middle of the woods and then end up killing a man, stealing his plane and stumbling upon a secret government experiment to do...well, we're not really sure. All this and more can be found in Project Nightmare!

Phantom Zoned is a weekly podcast where host Adrian Torres leads us on a voyage through the worst movies that cinema has to offer. If judged guilty of crimes against cinema, the film will be jettisoned into the Phantom Zone, an inescapable prison where they will remain for all eternity.

Hosts Scott and Michael tried to come up with some good movies to discuss, but now that August is here all the movies kind of suck. So instead, they chatted about some of the most recent Netflix Original Movies: I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore, To The Bone, and Okja.

Spoilers for Okja are discussed, but a clear spoiler warning is given.

To celebrate one year of banishing poop to the Phantom Zone, Adrian and Scott have decided to celebrate with a double stuffed Neil Breen episode. We talk about Breen's Double Down and Fateful Findings, which are both terrible. But what can I say, that's Vegas baby!

After an extended hiatus, the guys are back with another terrible, horrible movie. This week, they're discussing American Anthem, the 1987 film about gymnastics and love and abusive parents. It's basically every single after school special rolled into one, with some sweet vaults and flippy thingies.

This week on Phantom Zoned, Adrian made Scott watch a movie about a dog suffering from PTSD go to work at the White House. It quickly becomes apparent that the most competent person in the house is the dog, which is probably the most biting political commentary yet featured on the show. Come listen to us talk about Max 2: White House Hero.

This week on Phantom Zoned, Adrian and Scott dive into the weird world of cut and paste filmmaking with Godfrey Ho's Robo Vampire 2: Devil's Dynamite. This movie has everything. Robots. Vampires. Ninjas. Robot Ninjas. Vampire Ninjas. Mind Control. Buried Treasure. Love Triangles. Almost as if it's two completely independent movies sloppily cut together. Tune in to find out it if this blood sucking Kung Fu movie has what it takes to escape from the Phantom Zone.

After the trial, Scott and Adrian talk about Transformers 5 for a few minutes. Mild spoilers included if you care about that sort of thing (you shouldn't).
