A LOT of trades went down today. The Phoenix Suns surprised the NBA at 1 AM by Trading for Kevin Durant, and Sending out a large haul in the process. The Lakers actually traded Russell  Westbrook! The talent they brought back fits their team much better and might propel them high into the playoffs. The Clippers traded away both of their point guards and brought in Bones Hyland and great frontcourt depth. This was a very eventful trade deadline day, and a lot of different teams got better today. The Dallas Mavs made a home run swing earlier this week in trading for Kyrie Irving after he requested a trade only 6 days before the trade deadline. Now, Luka has the second star that he needs to make a deep playoff run, but it will rely on Kyrie's ability to stay healthy and available for the Mavs. The Nets got decent role players in return, but it will hard to see them remaining equally competitive without one of the best second options in the league. The Cavs have been empowering Evan Mobley more recently, and his stand out play is starting to show on both sides of the ball.
