In recent comments about Bitcoin, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen says that Bitcoin is a highly inefficient asset that is often involved in illegal activities. Yellen also says that Bitcoin leaves a massive carbon footprint and isn't being used for transactions on a regular basis. Yellen's remarks about Bitcoin drove the price down, with Bitcoin trading at just $53,000, after a recent surge in the price that occured last week. The reason for Yellen's odd remarks about bitcoin seem to center around the fact that the government plans to offer an alternative digital currency to replace #bitcoin. So, her remarks about bitcoin being dangerous, volatile, illiquid and illicit appear to be driven by ulterior motives.
This from the BBC: "The daughters of assassinated US black civil rights leader Malcolm X have requested that the murder investigation be reopened in light of new evidence. They cite a deathbed letter from a man who was a policeman at the time of the 1965 killing, alleging New York police and the FBI conspired in the murder. Raymond Wood wrote his responsibility was to ensure Malcolm X's security team were arrested days before he was shot dead in Manhattan, his family says. Three men were convicted of the murder. The men - all members of the Nation of Islam political and religious movement - were each sentenced to life in prison. One of them has since died, while the other two have been paroled. By the time he was gunned down, Malcolm X - who was at one time seen as a public face of the Nation of Islam but then left the movement - had moderated his militant message of black separatism."
Noted black scholar Dr Cornel West is finding himself in the middle of an interesting controversy with Harvard University. According to Dr West, Harvard is unwilling to grant him tenure due to the controversy behind his work on racial equality. None of this surprises me, given the nature of academic racism and the decision by white academia to value the work of white scholars over black ones. It also goes without saying that Dr Cornel West is an amazing scholar who deserves tenure at any institution with which he is affiliated. So, in this video, I don't just talk about Dr Cornel West and his beef with Harvard, we also discuss the disturbing issues that exist within academic institutions that put black students deep in debt, but are often unwilling to hire and promote black faculty. That is the scope of this analysis of the state of black scholars in America.

Elon Musk just announced that he bought $1.5 billion in Bitcoin. This major move by the CEO of Tesla only serves to help Bitcoin fulfill it's destiny as digital gold. The greater economic acceptance of bitcoin by major institutions and billionaires will likely be the factor that drives its expected meteoric rise.

It looks like TI And Tiny are no longer loved by MTV after a series of shocking allegations that were released last week. But because our panel is black and intelligent, we aren't going to judge TI and Tiny without evidence and facts to support any of those judgements. MTV just announced that they are suspending production of TI and Tiny's reality show, "The Friends and Family Hustle" after the couple was accused of something that is clearly disturbing. So, the question is this: What is the burden of proof when you are seeking to ruin a person's life? Also, was the #MeToo movement equally diligent when going after Joe Biden when he was accused of equally disturbing crimes?
