Many investors are worried about their investment in XRP, created by Ripple Labs. XRP is under an enforcement action from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which claims that XRP is a security, not a currency. However, a scathing letter written by the former Chairman of the SEC implies that if former SEC Chair Jay Clayton were to file the enforcement action against XRP, it would mean that the company would have to conclude that Ethereum is a security as well. The XRP suit has caused many crypto exchanges to delist the currency, costing investors billions of dollars. Ethereum currently has a market value of $162 billion. This makes for a very interesting dynamic as the Biden Administration takes over this week. To see a screenshot of the crypto I own in my portfolio, please visit DrBoyceCrypto.com.
Today I spoke to my Black Boss Panel about the fact that Kamala Harris and Joe Biden seem to love ignoring black people, especially when we talk about reparations.
President elect Joe Biden has made a commitment to creating a path to citizenship for 11M immigrants, which has made some curious as to why the Biden Administration appears to have no gratitude to the black community, which has been responsible for getting the Democratic Party into office. Joe Biden is considered to a friend to black people, but despite this, his administraiton has failed to mention #reparations as a public policy on any level. Why does reparations tend to fall behind immigration issues, despite the fact that descendants of slavery are the most loyal voter base for the Democratic Party in America? is it time for black people to defect from the Democratic Party altogether? Are they arguing that we aren't deserving of reparations? Why won't they say the word?
Jay Morrison put a statement on his instagram page stating something that is incredibly true: It's very easy for a young person to get student loans, even if they have no income, no credit, no assets and no collateral. But despite the fact that student loans are easy to obtain, business loans are nearly impossible. Much of this disparity in the way #studentloans are administered is connected to the fact that student loan debt is actually the next great economic crisis in America. The presence of Student Loan Asset Backed Securities or SLABS, along with government guarantees and subsidies, makes student loans an enticing and profitable lending option for major corporations. Also, the 2005 Bill that disallows students to write off their student loan debt during bankruptcy plays a role in this crisis as well. Student loan debt has bubbled and the bubble will eventually pop. That's the nature of this conversation and this video.
