The Dramione Effect

Hello!! I am so proud to announce that my new podcast Reader Writer is LIVE!! I wanted to introduce you to the first episode because my guest is a Dramione fanfiction favorite, Taylor E. Weston!! Please enjoy this conversation and give the new addition to the family a warm welcome and subscribe for all the new episodes.

We'll be back to regularly scheduled Dramione fuckery next week!!! XOXO

This is the first episode and I am so excited to share it with you. My guest is the amazing Taylor E. Weston. I first fell in love with her writing when I found her Dramione fanfic, Seek and Find. I was immediately hooked and through the crazy power of the internet was lucky enough to become friends with her.

She was on my other podcast, The Dramione Effect, and was gracious and brave enough to join me again on this new adventure.

We get to chatting about what it takes to make the jump from free Fan fiction to publishing your work, how to get people to pay attention to read your work, what her writing process looks like and so much more. You are going to laugh a lot and have some good reading to add to your TBR!!

Her debut novel, Courtside is available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited. The newest addition to her published work is The Grim, Me and The Reaper Make Three, a Halloween Novella available on Kindle Unlimited October 25th!!

You can find Taylor on Instagram, Amazon and AO3

**Warning! This podcast contains explicit language and adult themes. Please be aware that it is for 18+ adults only. **

SPOILER ALERTS AHEAD!!!! As with all Book Club episodes please be aware that we go in depth into recently completed fics and there are always spoilers lurking.

On this episode we are talking all about the recently completed WIP The Faintest Trace of You by GingerBaggins. She is one of my very favorite people on the internet and it was such a blast to get to chat about fanfic and all things Dramione.

This conversation was so much fun and I hope you enjoy our unhinged yapping about sad boi Draco, Hermione's moral compass, fluid transfers, the unmatched musical stylings of Karen O and so much more.

(Correction: in the episode we reference the character, Thanos. I mistakenly attribute his presence in the X-Men films and not The Avengers. My apologies, nerds!)

Fics and music mentioned in this episode:

Talking Bird -Red Dead Redemption 2 FF

I'm Never Lonely When I'm With You - PacificRimbaud

Karen O - Crush Songs

Portishead - Dummy

Timeless is still the fic that hurt me the MOST!!! The angst, the timelines, the pain, the realization that things were in motion, the whole GD thing!! It's a piece of art and you need to read it.

On this week's episode I get the immense pleasure of sitting down on zoom with Alexandra Emerson. We chat about her fics, original work, AO3 vs. Goodreads comments, angsty smut and everything else in between.

This week's episode is a trip into the Back to School Fest with the lovely ohmorefina! She is one of my very best Internet friends and agreed to come chat with me and to share about her experience as a beta reader.

In this convo we dig into a trove of fest fics and our personal faves. We chat about all the different ways you can participate in fandom, the "Hot Scorpius Agenda", how to accidentally write a fanfic, and so much more.

It all started when I read an amazing fic called 'Caput Mortuum' and couldn't stop! Welcome to the wonderful world of Cr0ftisprocrastinating (aka Croft) and her delightful repertoire of Dramione fics.

This episode is chock full of the most random topics and it's, like the title says; zero order, all thoughts. We discuss our favorite wines, Jeff Buckley, the audacity of DMATMOOBIL, kink writing, a sandbox full of dolls, and so much more (if you can believe it!)

You can find all of her fics on AO3 and follow her on TikTok

Warning!! This episode contains spoilers. Proceed with caution if you have not yet read this fic!!

In our second foray into The Book Club we are discussing A Gallows Marriage with it's writer, Milabelle, and her beta reader, Buket. They join me in a fantastic conversation all about the ins and outs of writing your first fic, arguing in the comments section, how sad boi can we make Draco, and the newfound glory of 'Cakeverse!'

WTF was August? It was a whirlwind of new fics, WIP’s, a whole bunch of crying over Draco Malfoy and now I get to share it with you. A rapid fire recap of all I read last month and some hot off the press recently finished additions to the TBR.

I come to some realizations; like the intriguing possibility of a triad with the Malfoy twins, or Rabastan Lestrange as a viable love interest, how deep into the older, married Draco and Hermione trope I have slipped (it’s deep), and that I will read anything by GingerBaggins. I do a really terrible job of pitching my new podcast and I will try harder next time.

As always the Google Doc is HERE

The delightful morriganmercy is our guest this week and we get into a whole bunch of topics, mostly Dramione related, as per usual. She is the amazing writer behind Meet Your Match and Ten Out of Ten!!

We chat about her Dramione origin story, sugar daddy supremacy, stripper Hermione as a genre, and the bts of Ten Out of Ten's 2 year anniversary.

Hot topic alert!! I have been obsessed with the fanfiction binders on social media since I started reading Dramione. I wanted to get all the tea on what it takes to start binding and to inspire someone out there to begin their binding journey. (also a pathetic attempt to have a bind sent to me, but shhhhh!!)
