The Earth 2 Podcast

The Original Captain Marvel arrived at DC Comics in the pages of SHAZAM 1 published at the end of 1972.

Did you know that five years before that, Superman encountered Zha-Vam! another mighty being powered by the Gods - Zeus, Hercules, Achilles, Vulcan, Apollo and Mercury?

We did, so as a warm up for next week's episode we thought we would cover the stories of this ginger haired giant.

Don't miss it!

Can the combined forces of the JLA and JSA rescue the Seven Soldiers of Victory in time to prevent the destruction of Earth-2? And just who is the Unknown Soldier of Victory?

This episode we cover Justice League of America 102, the conclusion of this epic three-part story.

In a change to our usual format, we’re saving our discussion of the story for a special wrap-up episode after we cover all three issues of the saga.

It’s a story so big, we had to recruit a lot of friends, family and fellow podcasters to help us out.

A big thank you to all our guest voices.

We conclude our prelude to the EPIC 1972 JLA/JSA team up that reintroduces the Seven Soldiers of Victory with a look at some more of the Soldiers' Golden Age "Legacy".

We kick off with a story from Star Spangled Comics 49 in which a pair of crooks take up costumed identities inspired by the Star Spangled Kid and Stripesy.

Then we discover yet another stand in for Green Arrow in the pages of Adventure Comics 223.

Finally, we end our two part prelude with a story featuring... THE SANDMAN?!?!?!

Tune in to find out why!

As a prelude to the EPIC 1972 JLA/JSA team up that reintroduces the Seven Soldiers of Victory, we thought we would cover some of their earlier exploits over two special episodes.

Firstly, the Crimson Avenger and Wing spring into action in a story from Detective Comics 26.

Then it's the Vigilante's turn as he encounters "The Counterfeit Vigilante" in a story from Action Comics 195.

Finally, we end Part One with "The Remote Controlled Archers". A Green Arrow and speedy tale from Adventure Comics 172.

Don't miss it!
