If you've ever had a call from a customer who has told you that the item you just installed was faulty then you will know the frustration that creates. The install was done right but you now have to go back there and fix something that just isn't your fault. You wear the cost and time for doing it and there is nothing worse than a supplier that just shrugs and says bad luck.

On today's show Jamie and Rob share a few of these stories that you will certainly be able to relate to and in the process they will also share their views on exactly what you can do about it.

Going back to a job after it is finished because the items you installed are defective is very frustrating. In fact not only does this cost you time, money and opportunity it's down right wrong that suppliers expect you to replace their faulty parts on your coin.

Sure there is your reputation and customer service to take care of but it shouldn't be at the expense of your bottom line. As a customer of the supplier you have more rights than you know and sometimes it just takes a couple of well thought out questions to stop them taking advantage of you.

If you're having no luck with your suppliers then listen closely as Jamie explains the ones he uses. These companies have guarantees that will cover you in the event something goes wrong and something needs to be replaced. Sometimes this is all you need to operate with more certainty.

Remember if you have to go back and fix something just a couple of times per month the cost of that will add up significantly over the next 12-months so you should be doing everything you can to mitigate against these return trips happening to you.
