I get it, many new shooters have been conditioned to think G7 is the only Curve to use with software. The truth is, there are a lot more variables that go into successfully predicting the shot. We have a lot of history and a lot more better numbers using G1 and it works.
I don't default to a specific drag model, I let the real world results speak for themselves. If G7 is better I use, but 50% of the time it's not. I also tend to turn off all the extra factors added in like SD and CE. I keep that stuff off because I dope the rifle first and line up the computer after.
In a word, it's all in there.
Just me venting, all fun, and hopefully informative.
