What happened to you was not okay. It never has been, and it never will be. If it was okay, you would have nothing to forgive, because to forgive someone is to release them from a debt they owe you. Therefore, the very act of forgiveness recognizes that something is wrong.

“Jesus went to sleep in my dreamscape,” my participant reported.

“Okay,” I responded. “That means you’ve taken care of what he needed you to do for now, and our session is over for today.”

My friend has a weird spiritual gift of discernment he never asked for or wanted: he can smell demons.

It’s not a gift he talks about much, but it’s happened enough times that he’s picked up on it. While praying for people, he’ll sometimes pick up on the horrible whiff of sulfur.

Angels have seen how we live, and they are not all particularly fond of us. While their literal job is to pass on messages, since angel means messenger, they often carry more weight than this. Even though God has omniscience and omnipotence, he allows angels to be his eyes and ears on the earth. They report to him what they see and help him make decisions.
