  • The Hope and a Future, with Aaron Baer

Marriage and family are among the greatest gifts God has given us. But when we reject His gifts, hurt and harm inevitably follow. If we look around our communities, it's evident we are witnessing nothing short of the decay of America from the inside out: Kids are underperforming in school, violence and drugs flood our streets, and abortion continues while fertility rates are plummeting.

For too long, efforts have treated symptoms rather than the root cause, the breakdown of the family. While exceptions exist, the data is clear that communities with struggling families face the greatest challenges. The strongest predictor of a child’s success? Being raised by a married mom and dad.

In today’s podcast, we talk with Aaron Baer, President of the Center for Christian Virtue. His organization has just released a new study addressing these key issues.

Aaron also serves as the founder of the Ohio Christian Education Network, a network of more than 180 Evangelical and Catholic schools, leads the Christian Business Partnership, and hosts the weekly culture and politics podcast, The Narrative. Join us for this special program.

  • Truth Exposed: God’s Design for Sex and Intimacy

On January 15, the United States Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in a case called Free Speech Coalition vs. Paxton. This case will determine the fate of 19 state laws protecting children from access to online pornography through mandatory age verification requirements.

In our last three episodes, we have explored the impact of this case on vulnerable children and families, the sex trafficking industry, and the increased risk pornography poses for pediatric sexual assault. In today’s episode, we recap each of these implications and make our final case for the truth about sexual intimacy and God’s design for it.

Since the 1960s, the ethics of the Sexual Revolution have dominated personal and public perspectives on sex and relationships. But God’s view of sex is higher than any the world has to offer. He values people, and sexual intimacy, more highly than any competing worldview, and His way is proven to offer the safest and most satisfying sexual fulfillment.

In this episode, Joseph Kohm and Ben Quine, Vice President of Christians Engaged, lay out this vision, what makes it so special, and how you can take action to represent God’s design for intimacy in your world.
